Become a PADI INSTRUCTOR aboard a Similans Liveaboard. Our unique IDC programme offers you the chance to train and dive in the Similan Islands with part of the programme hands-on training on a liveaboard. This is a great opportunity for both gaining experience working on liveaboards and diving the spectacular Similan Islands.
Your IDC begins with online classes and starts in person on October 20th. The training includes e-learning presentations, classroom and pool sessions at Khao Lak Scuba Adventures' state-of-the-art facilities, and a 5-day liveaboard in the Similan Islands, a stunning location for your open water presentations and specialty instructor training, plus workshops focused on working aboard liveaboards as a dive instructor.

LIVEABOARD IDC on the Similans. Starts 19th April. A fantastic way to become a dive instructor and excellent preparation for working in the real world of liveaboards and great dive sites. During your IDC we will dive world famous Richilieu Rock and experience real life work aboard the MantaQueen liveaboards. A great foundation for a successful and rewarding career in the dive industry.
Preparation begins with our unique online learning with Julian Pirie. In person training is with the world's most experienced Course Director, Mark Soworka, with more than 💯10,000 instructor level certifications. Quality training and a headstart in the industry is assured.

👉 Padi Theory & Presentations - Conveniently completed in advance, online via several Zoom sessions (Approximately 8x 3 hour Zoom sessions)

👉 December 7th and 8th 2022: Start date at our CDC Dive Centre in Khaolak with Pool exercise & classroom sessions.

Late afternoon on Dec.8th, we’ll transfer you to the Thaplamu Pier where it’s “Trip Check In” on Manta Queen 1 Liveaboard.

There is dinner served onboard that evening, departing overnight to the Similan Islands. The open water portion of IDC begins!!

👉 December 14th: The day the after the trip returns, there’s another Pool and Classroom session at our Dive Centre with Padi IE prep to ensure you’re “ready to dive in”!

Dive Careers Team Member Aaron assists on IDC Programmes in Similans and on Koh Tao Thailand at Simple Life Dive Resort.

Aaron Puttawong (Djoi) Thai/Australian Staff Instructor. Pretty much born into the dive industry as Mark Soworka's son, Aaron has been diving and assisting IDCs since his early years. He has staffed IDCs in both Koh Tao and Khaolak, Thailand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Maldives. He has worked as a dive instructor in Similans, Koh Tao, Thailand and both Bohol and Camiguin in the Philippines. Aaron brings passion and enthusiasm plus a wealth of knowledge to his teaching.
