That face you pull when everything you’re doing to reset and realign your nervous system is paying off!!

I feel like I’m gathering speed and pace in my healing right now.

It’s been tough I’m not going to lie.

But the more I connect and slow down

The more I submerge myself in nature

The deeper I listen to my body

The more I feel each tiny little part of me that is under stress and years of emotional hurt and turmoil RELEASE.

It’s like I’m experiencing a snowball effect now and I feel very close to getting some huge releases

Years of pain and tension is being relieved and it’s exhilarating and so emotional.

I spent months on end as a child in hospitals, Dr’s surgeries and under the knife trying to work out what was going on in my body.

I made a huge connection it was to do with trauma around 5 years ago and that journey since has been intense but so fu***ng beautiful!

I honestly wish everyone that has ever experienced pain and stress through the hands, words and actions of others some deep and lasting healing.

Helping you guys heal from pain, even through movement as a personal trainer and therapy as a masseuse has always been my main life goal.

And now on this deeper and more intense work I’m bringing in through toxin removal and nervous system regulation

I have a whole and complex set of skills that can come together to create an amazing healing journey for my clients.

So I’m always open, honest and ready to share whatever it is I’ve learned and however it is I can help.

Tomorrow myself and Caroline go live to talk about how stress affects health in her field of oral hygiene, breath and plaque build up.

If we’re breathing incorrectly this has huge knock on effects through the body.

The inflammation caused by incorrect breathing eg. mouth breathing instead of diaphragmatic breath can affect the brain, muscle tissues and toxic build up.

The knock on effects of this can cause gut issues, sleep issues, clenching, grinding, trigger point pains and so much more.

This one hit hard! ADHD info below.. have a read! ⬇️

The deeper I’m getting into studying the affects of trauma on the body, the more I’m understanding there’s a very close line between childhood trauma and ADHD..

I didn’t do too well academically in school, I always thought I didn’t have the mental capacity to learn.

I really don’t think it was ADHD although I could say I displayed many signs for a long time.

A huge realisation I made a few years ago was that I was actually so stressed through school my brain would just switch off.

There was so much going on in my home life I was completely despondent.

I had zero concentration and just wanted to chat and watch the sports out of the windows.

Unless I was in art where I could really get into flow and enjoy taking my mind off whatever was going on in my head.

It all makes so much sense to me now.

Because I knew I could learn

But sitting down to study at home was pointless because I didn’t feel safe there, so studying for exams never happened.

I have recently connected stress and overthinking to eating faster and also struggling to concentrate, but if I stop and address the cause of the stress then regulate my nervous system I’m absolutely fine.

On some light research I have found that ADHD and trauma symptoms overlap, and trauma can make ADHD symptoms worse so it is really difficult to diagnose.

I’m chatting to more women who are looking into diagnosis, and a recent poll suggests you guys are interested in finding out more.

I’m going to be doing as much research for you as possible regarding this so you can have the best informed care as possible.

I’ll be doing a live very soon with a friend of mine who is digging deeply into her own diagnosis of ADHD and the studies she’s currently doing in University about women with ADHD.

Do you struggle with motivation? Read on! ⬇️

Survival energy is intense! 🚨

When we are stuck in survival mode or in a survival loop it takes up so much energy.

Imagine being a cave man and having to run away from or fight a predator!

That is the energy your body is using in survival mode.

No organism in nature is build to be in survival mode for long periods of time.

So is it any wonder why you have no energy, no motivation, no drive!?

If you wake up first thing in the morning and your body senses stress it skips hormone processes and leads your day with cortisol.

So straight away you are less likely to be hungry and more likely to be on high alert.

Yes some people have learned to function from this cycle, but that is only going to work for so long before your body will show signs through illness and injury.

If you are demotivated and feeling sluggish, maybe you can’t focus or are feeling despondent

You could be functioning in survival mode.

Learning techniques to regulate the nervous system is the best place to begin to heal this.

When you learn to regulate the nervous system you allow the body to return to homeostasis so it can begin to reset its physiological processes

This brings healing

From healing we can begin to thrive again

I’m talking about my near prison sentence tonight live: Are you joining? ⬇️

I’ve been on a recent journey of healing trauma and what has came up has been poverty and money trauma.

Since being a child I’ve gone through cycles of having and losing.

To the point where I almost went to prison.

I’ll be opening up to talk about my recent journey and how I recalled the money trauma I have from many years ago.

The reason I’ve decided to open up about this is because people think I’m “lucky” and I’ve got the best life.

Remember social media is a reel of people’s best bits, and we rarely see the behind the scenes footage of what really goes on, but I do try my best to remain open and honest about my journey.

I want you to understand my journey so you know that it’s never all rainbows and roses, we ALL have it tough, building trust in the process and resilience is the only way to get through life.

I’m going to be talking about how I’m healing these feelings of lack, scarcity, and insecurity which are very difficult foundational energies to have set in the right place, because if these are imbalanced then everything in your life is being driven by fear.

I’ll be telling you how I’m healing these issues through the root cause which is in my nervous system and how in doing so will help me heal my body.

Drop a 💓 below if you’re struggling with weight loss!

No one is Lazy, but having something going on within your life or your body can cause you to feel demotivated and sluggish.

When we are in constant or chronically stressful situations the body uses energy to protect itself.

If you’re constantly protecting yourself, you won’t have energy for other things…
Relationships
Work
Fitness
Kids

Running on the stress hormone cortisol is a real thing.

If you wake up first thing and your body perceives stress it kicks into cortisol production straight away.

This isn’t a natural hormone process for your body to thrive from.

It’s survival.

So if you’re struggling to lose body fat or increasing in weight gain this could be a huge reason why.

You’re more likely to binge eat on sugary and fast foods or drink excess alcohol.

You’re more likely to have a poorer quality of sleep.

You’re less likely to be motivated to work out.

I could go on with this list but these 3 factors alone should help you realise the catastrophic effects toxic stress and trauma can have on the body.

So when you’re feeling like you’re treading water and not able to lose weight this could be a huge reason why.
