If there is something good to come out of this global pandemic it's the fact that with the worldwide travel ban in place, and the subsequent lack of scuba diving, the coral reef's and underwater landscape have had lots of time to replenish and should be flourishing and even more spectacular when we eventually get to dive in

One section of the divemaster course is the mapping project. For this task candidates need to draw an accurate map of a dive site, or part of a dive site. Here is our DMC Vanessa collecting information in challenging visibility!

The equipment exchange is one of the more unique waterskill exercises of the divemaster course. In this task, which was previously (and appropriately) called the stress test, candidates must swap their BCDs, fins and masks whilst sharing a single regulator. Here is Vanessa getting a great score, and becoming pink thanks to Lin!

We had a very busy 4 days due to Thai holiday, with many Open water and Advanced students who certified with us!!

The weekend was very productive for our Divemaster candidate Vanessa as she covered snorkel supervision, dive briefing and leading certified divers for the first time!

Great conditions are starting in this month and onward. Flat seas and clear water with an huge amount of marine life to be discovered.

Groupers are amongst the bigger predators around Koh Tao and Sail Rock. In the daytime they are calm and very good approachable but during the night time they go on the hunt for reef fish which are hidden between the corals and small cracks in the reef. If you are patient then he might be yawning and you will be able to see how big it's mouth is.
