⛳️ LINKS GOLF SOCIETY – GREENWOOD RESULTS ⛳️

🏌️‍♂️ ANOTHER HARD DAY AT THE OFFICE! 😳😂

The boys made the trip out to Greenwood Golf Club today, and once again the course proved to be fantastic value for money and well worth the extra bit of travel.

The fairways were lush, the course looked magnificent and the greens rolled beautifully and true…

Unless, of course, you putt like Werner. 🤣🤣

Unfortunately, despite the course being in great condition, the same couldn’t necessarily be said for the golf. 😂

Apparently 30 points is enough to win these days! 😳🏆

🥇 1st – Mark Capo (17) – 30 points
Mark somehow emerged from the wreckage with 30 points and takes the chocolates. They don’t ask how — they just ask how many! 😂

🥈 2nd – John “Webby” Webb (25) – 27 points
Webby stormed home with 15 points on the back nine to force a countback and steal second place.

🥉 3rd – Bill Crickmore (18) – 27 points
Bill also finished with 27 points but was cruelly relegated to third on countback. Tough game, Bill. 😜

🎯 NEAREST THE PIN

The Bomber Werner was the ONLY golfer in the entire group to actually hit the green! 😂👏

That probably tells you everything you need to know about today’s golf.

Needless to say… NOT WON! 🤣

After today’s display, the Eagles Nest probably isn’t losing too much sleep.

⛳️😂 LINKS GOLF SOCIETY – ST ANDREWS 2000 RESULTS 😂⛳️
📅 24th July 2026

Yesterday the Links crew headed off to the magnificent St Andrews 2000, where the fairways were picturesque, the course was beautifully presented… and the greens proceeded to absolutely destroy everyone’s confidence. 🤣

St Andrews has never been a course for the faint-hearted, and yesterday was certainly no exception.

In fact, the scoring was so ordinary that 30 points was enough to win the bloody thing! 😂😂

There were no 36s, no 38s, no 40-point bandits — just a bunch of golfers slowly coming to terms with the fact that perhaps they’re not quite as good as they thought they were. 🤣⛳️

🏆 THE SURVIVORS

🥇 1st – John Webb (25) – 30 points
John somehow emerged from the wreckage with 30 points and took the win. Amazingly, he was still hard on himself afterwards.

John… you won. Take the money and stop asking questions. 😂🍻

🥈 2nd – Pat Finnegan (28) – 28 points
Pat claimed second with 28 points — a score that on most days would have you quietly putting your clubs in the car and leaving before anyone noticed🤣

Yesterday? Podium finish! 🥈😂

🎯 NTP #13

Nobody hit it.

Apparently hitting the green was already asking too much yesterday, so expecting someone to get near the pin was probably getting a little ambitious. 😂

The lucky draw therefore went to Mark Capo…

Because after all his recent wins, the poor bloke obviously needed the money. 💰🤣

🦅 EAGLES NEST – STILL ALIVE!

Unsurprisingly, nobody managed to knock that off either!

So the Eagles Nest survives another golfing massacre and climbs to:

All jokes aside, another great day with the Links crew on one of Pattaya’s toughest courses.

The course won comfortably yesterday.

The Links Golf Society took on a very windy and overcast Hermes Golf Course today. The greens were once again in immaculate condition, while the fairways were running true and producing some very good scores.

🏆 Green Jacket: Jim Mussino— 38 points off 11.7, including an impressive 20 points on the back nine.

🥈 Second: Decon 37 points off 11.2
🥉 Third: Grant pride — 35 points off 7
4️⃣ Fourth: Bill Critchfield — 31 points off 18
5️⃣ Fifth: Steve Guy — 29 points, winning on countback
6️⃣ Sixth: Martin Jenman — 28 points
7️⃣ Seventh: Werner leten — 24 points
8️⃣ Eighth: John Webb — 21 points off 25

The start of the working week saw the Links Golf Society travel up to Pattavia for a quiet round of golf.

🏆 Green Jacket Winner: Mark Capo — 42 points off 20. A first-time green jacket winner! 👏 Say goodbye to a couple of strokes there, Mark!

🥉 3rd: Bill Critchmore — 31 points off 20

⛳ LINKS GOLF SOCIETY – PATTAYA COUNTRY CLUB ⛳
📅 21st August 2026

Six fortunate golfers headed out to Pattaya Country Club today and were greeted by immaculate conditions, with both the fairways and greens in superb shape. 👌🏌️‍♂️

Local knowledge certainly helped — the golden rule today was DO NOT finish above the pin! Those downhill putts were not for the faint-hearted. 😬⛳

The weather was ideal for golf, although a few of the boys somehow managed to find something to complain about… apparently there was too much breeze! 😂💨

🎯 EAGLES NEST & NTP

Unfortunately, nobody could find the pin on the par-3 16th, so the Eagles Nest survives another day!

Even the Nearest the Pin failed to go off. At this rate, we might have to change the NTP competition to a drive-and-chip event on the par 3s! 😂

Despite the lack of accuracy, there were still some very respectable scores:

🥇 1st – Bill Crickmore (20) – 37 points
Bill continuing his rather annoying habit of winning! 🏆😂

🥈 2nd – Rocky Jenks (20) – 33 points
Great to see you back, Rocky! 👏

🥉 3rd – Fred Walker (20) – 32 points

Apparently, 20 was the handicap to have today! 😄
