Goodmorning Volleyballers. We have a question and we would like to have your thoughts.
Are we going to only see a good team like Super Ladies in the Volleyball Galore Eswatini International Tournament only. We are of the firm view that this team can reshape the competition landscape of volleyball Eswatini. What are your thoughts good people. Things to note are that the team boasted of higky experienced legendary players and more than that they made it to the finals of the tournament. That should count for something.

The Eswatini International Trade Fair Tournament knockout we are looking forward to.

In an exciting turn of events, the Eswatini International Trade Fair Cup has entered an unmissable stage where the best of the best in the kingdom will be taking on each other in a bid to try and send each other packing. This is the semi-final stage where teams need to decide within the next two matches which ones will matter the most to them. If you win your semi-finals, you have one more match the finals to go, and if you lose, you still have one more match the third-place finals to go.

In the next encounter, Correctional sunrise volleyball club men will be taking on Tigers, while the most talked about Ecowater will be taking on Royal Warriors. Women will be on tiptoes as well, expecting Ecowater to take on Zakhele Volleyball Team Club, and on the other court, Correctional Sunrise will be up against Scorpions Volleyball Club. There is a lot to expect, and there are observations that everyone, including our newsdesk, has made regarding the strengths and styles of play for these teams. What we cannot mistake is that all these teams have sides and statuses to protect as they uphold their banners in a bid to make a name for themselves. There is no other great tournament that gives you more exposure than a tournament where international spectatorship is guaranteed. Remember, we are at an International Trade Fair.

The games in discussion from the wider view of the volleyball populace at large:
1. Correctional Sunrise vs Tigers
Most of the volleyball personnel we have spoken to applauded Tigers for contesting for the title at this stage of the tournament and were happy for the milestone achievement versus the fact that Correctional, a long-standing powerhouse, has always contested for every title in every tournament. A situation described as a David and Goliath battle, but the greater expectations from the fans gave winning odds to Correctional. The thing about volleyball is that it is a game of slight changes and opportunities, so spectators should not totally count out Tigers as a team that is easy to walk over. Both these teams have fully seated technical benches, and we hope to see a lot of flair and diversity of course, with a purpose other than a fancy display.

2. Royal Warriors vs Ecowater
Nowadays, when you hear or come across the name Ecowater in Eswatini Volleyball, you definitely have your eyebrows raised. This team is not only hot in the women's category, but it is also making waves in the men's category as well. If you want to take on Ecowater and think about winning, you should surely prepare yourself. On the other hand, their opponents, Royal Warriors, who are also not a power to overlook because many giants have fallen victim to their rage, will not at all give the match away. As most of our fans have given winning odds to Royal Warriors, it is testament that they have built their profile and cemented their legacy. Both these teams have the potential of making it to the finals, so we can consider it a final before the finals. We anticipate flames in this match to come.

3. Correctional Sunrise vs Scorpions Volleyball Club

To remind you a little bit about Ecowater, their ladies' side is the one that has done the most in forcefully and fiercely paving their way to the finals. Recently, they scooped an international tournament gold medal playing against the same Zakhele team they will be playing on the day of the knockout. Zakhele as well made it to the finals of that tournament, reminding teams that they are also a powerhouse. As we have alluded that this match is anticipated to be evenly distributed, it means one cannot rule out Zakhele because this team in its element will definitely skin you alive. Both teams have the full potential of upsetting the equilibrium, so it is a go for all.

Such times mark a remarkable time and phase in our Kingdom where we celebrate youthfulness and promote good behaviour within maidens and the nation at large. 16 January 2026 while we were at Mavuso watching soccer we once again saw this young man who we do not know by name having gone all out to support his soccer team. For us it was the passion and the drive that keeps him going which motivated us. Volleyball also need such passionate individuals and we are dying to sit down with him and ask him a few questions. We are of the idea that there are those of us in volleyball who can learn from this yound man.

Our publication would like to have a prematch face to face discussion with these two giant coaches. Gentlemen Menzi Phampetha Vilakati and Mancoba Nizo Shongwe are you up for the challenge. We are of the firm view that we owe this to the public. These two coaches are the commanding voices of Correctional sunrise volleyball club and Scorpions Volleyball Club respectively. They will be meeting in a knockout stage of the Trade Fair Cup.

Shifting Tides and Mastermind Tactics: Ecowater Redefines Eswatini Women’s Volleyball

Ecowater didn't just join the women’s volleyball circuit they dropped into the arena like a leviathan in a wading pool. In a stunning display of skill during the International Trade Fair Tournament group stages, Ecowater executed the unthinkable, mercilessly triumphing 2:0 over the previously untamed Correctional Sunrise women. The dramatic shift threw the entire tournament hierarchy into complete disarray, sending shockwaves through the competition.
By clinching the top spot in their group, Ecowater not only earned bragging rights but also secured a crucial tactical advantage which is a semi final clash against the opposing group’s runners up, dodging the bracket’s other apex predators in the initial knockout round.

While Ecowater was shifting the balance of power, drama unfolded on the neighboring court in a pivotal match between Zakhele Ladies and Scorpions. Observing the unfolding brackets, Scorpions technical team made a series of baffling roster moves benching his starters or ahould we say rather key players to field a lineup of young development players against a struggling Zakhele side. Couldn't this be called match fixing? Well we do not know because we missed an opportunity to interview these teams especially the coaches.

Spectators speculated whether this was a calculated attempt to drop to a runner up position to avoid facing Correctional Sunrise in the semi finals. However these young Ofezela didnt get the memo because they were determined to tear the coachless Zakhele into halves. These kids were hungry to stamp their authority in the game and prove to their coaches that they have all whatbit takes. At the end they wont the game 2:1 and remained in the spot they were so willing to trade places with Zakhele.

We are asking ourselves what would have been the plan for Zakhele if the head coach was available on the day? The long standing semi finalists of almost every tournament came to the party with a very thin squad of injured players and they were also forced to fixture their developing side and play it safe. Zakhele has shown to be a good team inspite of the fact that its technical bench was empty only to be occupiee by two of their male players as the coaches of the day but they proved to be having that unpredictable capability to turn things around. For a good team like Zakhele to be without coaches it leaves a lot to be desired however our news crew is snooping on the issues.

We could not get the coaches for comments after their matches however what we noticed are two crowd pulling encounters that have the capacity to main event every tournament and these are Ecowater vs Correctional and also Scorpions vs Zakhele. We have yet another dominant force that was absent on the day which is the Royal Warriors from the police organization. Even though this team has stopped elevating their game when critically analyzed it does make it to the list of top 5 giants and with their presence it means one of the five giants will not make it to the semi finals of any tournament played in this fashion. This changed the tides completely and forces teams back to their drawing boards. However having another 6th competitive team in the ladies category will surely elevate the womens category and with time international standard can be a local treat.

Today we officially recieved our Award being honored by Volleyball Galore Eswatini. Thank you so much Volleyball Galore Eswatini for recognizing us as one of the media houses that makes a difference. Our special thanks does not only to Galore but also to the volleyball community at large. This award comes as a result of the dedicated efforts of the people we work with.

Having recieved this award we will continue to strive for more excellence and reach the top. As the saying says, the sky is the limit. Thank yoh once again and God bless you all.
