Manzini parkrun Manzini parkrun is a free, fun and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you!

It takes place at 8am every Saturday at Manzini Golf Course, Manzini Golf Course Road, Manzini, M200.

Milestones achieved today

Denis Ladwar Okidi - 25th volunteer duty completed (gong V PURPLE)
Denis Ladwar Okidi is a member of the Manzini parkrun volunteer team and completed his 25th volunteer duty on 29th August 2026 covering such duties as: Barcode Scanning; Equipment Storage and Delivery; Finish Tokens; First Timers Welcome; Other; Post-event Close Down and Pre-event setup. The role that Denis Ladwar Okidi has performed most frequently is Post-event Close Down which he has completed on 23 separate occasions.

Denis Ladwar Okidi has also completed 48 parkruns across the following locations: Manzini parkrun (34); and Mbabane parkrun (24).

Denis Ladwar Okidi started his parkrun journey at Mbabane parkrun on 27 October 2018 where he set a time of 40:25 and finished in 45th position. Since then Denis Ladwar Okidi has been able to set a new personal best time on 19 separate occasions and his current personal best time is 24:55 which he set on 19 January 219 at Mbabane parkrun. Denis Ladwar Okidi personal best time at Manzini parkrun is 26:49 which he set on 23 May 2026.

Running challenges that Denis Ladwar Okidi has completed along the way include:

Manzini parkrun ~ Saturday 29th August 2026, event number 212.

Men’s run
The male course record set by Mancoba Nhlabatsi on 21 January 2023 of 15:48 will stand for another week.
It was Abner D Zwane who on his 4th parkrun took the 1st place on the day with a time of 24:08. Following him home in 2nd position was Thulane Lulane who completed his 134th parkrun in a time of 24:13. Securing the 3rd place was Sibusiso Zulu who completed his 135th parkrun in a time of 27:05. Our 4th parkrunner home was Richamn Sebenele Tsabedze who on his 109th parkrun set a time of 31:20. Rounding out the top 5 positions was James Nyirenda who on his 186th parkrun set a time of 31:51.
Well done to all who completed the course.

Ladies’ run
The ladies course record set by Phiwokuhle Bulunga on 20 May 2023 of 21:17 will stand for another week.
Our first lady home was Zandile Shongwe who on her 24th parkrun set a time of 41:16. Following her home as our 2nd lady finisher was Mamane Mthembu who set a time of 44:40, which is a new personal best time for her. Finishing 3rd in our lady’s section was Brigid Mazibuko who on her 33rd parkrun set a time of 47:04. Following her home in 4th position was Saynile Malinga who on her 75th parkrun set a time of 50:20. Zethu Nxumalo was our 5th lady to complete the course and she did so in a time of 51:04.
Well done to all who completed the course.

Today Manzini parkrun welcomed 15 participants who walked, jogged or ran the course. Today’s event was made up of 8 lady participants and 7 male participants and 0 unregistered participants.

If you need assistance registering, please visit either Apollo Printers in Mbabane and the team there will assist you with your registration or speak to Amon Shamilimo at Manzini parkrun who will gladly assist you with registration.

The first runners in were:
Men Abner D Zwane ~ 24:08
Ladies Zandile Shongwe ~ 41:16 (7th overall)

At today’s event the gentleman and lady participant who had completed the most parkuns were:
• Victoria Nxumalo – 161 parkruns completed and 126 volunteer duties completed.
• James Nyrienda – 186 parkruns completed and 157 volunteer duties completed.
