Official Statement from Muok Union Tonj South County.

To the Office of Tonj Local Football Association,

We, Muok Football Team, strongly condemn the decision to shorten the match between Muok FC and Thony FC to 45 minutes. Despite no fault of the players or fans, the match was cut short due to referee error. We demand the match be replayed in its entirety (90 minutes) as per standard regulations.

The mistake was made by the referee, not the teams. Justice demands fairness – replay the match with full duration.

Football should never be stopped by fan violence or threats! Matches must be played fairly and safely. If fans are the issue, address THAT – not punish the teams. Muok FC's stance is clear: replay the match, full 90 minutes, and tackle the real problem – unruly fans and poor officiating 🛑

PRESS STATEMENT

Today, the Secretary General for Culture, Youths and Sports, Mr Ding Mading together with Aldo Ngot and Mou Nyin, held a successful meeting with the Payam Administrator of Malual Muok Payam.

The Payam Administrator Akot Akeen highly appreciated the continued support and commitment shown by the Secretary General and his brother toward the development and well-being of the community. He described the support as timely and impactful.

During the meeting, the Secretary General strongly encouraged the youth to stop cattle-related conflicts, embrace dialogue, and actively promote peace, unity, and coexistence within the community. He emphasized that peace is the foundation for development and progress.

The leadership reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with local authorities and the youth to build a peaceful and stable Malual Muok Payam.

The Secretary General for Culture, Youth and Sports of Muok Union condemns the recent suggestion by the organizing committee of the Tonj South Olympic Tournament. The proposal to hold the tournament before the host community completes its league contradicts the spirit of unity and fair play.

We reiterate that the tournament must wait until the Tonj Payams Bomas League concludes so that our community teams can participate without disadvantage.
