Dear Tonj United Family,
On a day like this, what can prevent us from finally winning the South Sudan Cup, the only cup that has so far eluded us ever since we came into existence?
To come this far, to play this final today, many of us had to sacrifice a lot for this reality.
From Jesus Jr Bil Akol who had to sacrifice his demanding job in Juba, to our Club Captain, Musa Jima Musa who put his body on the line by continuing to play with a deadly ribs injury, to Daniel Ariath Nhial, despite family commitments in Juba, he has been so patiently putting the team first even though this club does not pay financially, to Duki Albattal Mario, despite a foot injury, he continues to electrify us with his pace and dazzling skills, to Chuda Ater Nhial who put the team first despite having a contract obligation outside of football, to James Wol Aguek and Mawut Deng Gak putting the team through rigorous training exercises, to Mariak Kuol Wol, Abu Madut Bol and Ayew Mawut Magot who, everyday, every training exercise, gives us exceptional leadership and tactical skills, to our young players for committing their fullest attention to details and game plans and finally, to my administration for standing firm and United despite being mentally tortured, labelled and abused, you stood your ground and here you are, a finalist today. I say, thank you!
To our former legends, Daniel Deng Akot, Makur Mathiang, Abraham Wol Kiir, Big Black W***y, Akoon Nusia, Dhal Monydhioth Goor, JK, Deng Nainggolan, Deng Makam Dor, Kon and to those that I haven't mention, we dedicate this match to you and hope that your prayers will help us conquer this battle.
And finally, to our fans, we need your voices. We need your support. But remember, we want peace too. Whether win or lose, the game should not be overshadowed by our indiscipline. Let's adhere to the spirit of sportsmanship and rules.
Above all, my confidence in this team is supreme!
