Big News! 🌟 A proud sons of the soil, Hon. Deng Mayom Akeen and Mayom Koor Mayom handed over two bulls, Machar and Mayom, to artist Mathuc Bak Deng in Warrap town, Tonj North County . This gesture shows their support for Mathuc Bak Deng's music and the peace concert in Kirik Payam, sponsored by Machar Kon Machar (Machar Benyhok).

Deng Mayom promised ongoing support for Mathuc Bak Deng, emphasizing the importance of peace in the area. He thanked the artist for visiting Kirik and stressed that peace should be the top priority.

The Chairman of Tonj Youth Union in Juba, Molana Madut Gabriel Thokriel congratulated Gen. If we truly accept that we have become a problem to ourselves, then the best and most responsible thing to do is to reconcile with one another, forgive each other, and bring back unity, peace and respect in our community.

To say that Gen. Aleu Ayieny would not lose sleep over an insult posted on Facebook and then go the next day to look for that person at their workplace in order to have him or her dismissed is a misunderstanding of his character. I strongly believe that Gen. Aleu Ayieny is not the kind of leader who would act in a small-minded, revengeful, or harmful way, unlike some people who may behave like that.

Gen. Aleu Ayieny has clearly shown that our neighbours cannot easily insult us or look down on us. Through his actions and his words, he has proven that he is brave, disciplined, and firm. He represents courage, self-control, wisdom, and true leadership, and he continues to stand for the dignity and strength of our people."

The Voice of Tonj Cries Out:

People of Tonj, listen! We are not a voting farm. We are not a bank of numbers to be visited every year of election, only to be abandoned after the ink dries.

The election is at the corner, and what do we see? The same dusty roads. The same struggling clinics. The same children under trees dreaming of a classroom. The promises from past campaigns have faded like old posters in the sun. Our community centres are empty of development, full only of our frustration.

But today, we speak with one voice on one great betrayal: THE ALEXANDRIA UNIVERSITY.

They promised us a future. They promised our youth knowledge. They promised our town progress and pride. They laid a foundation stone for our hopes, and then they walked away. They have left a skeleton of a dream, a monument to their neglect.

So to those who come seeking our votes, who come with sweet tongues and empty hands, we have one clear, non-negotiable demand:

WITHOUT THE OPERATION OF THE ALEXANDRIA UNIVERSITY IN TONJ BY 2026, HOW DO YOU EXPECT OUR VOTES?

Do not come to us with more promises. Do not come with shirts and sugar. Come with a signed decree. Come with a budget. Come with lecturers and open doors.

Our votes are not cheap. They are the price of our children's future. To secure our votes, we need Alexander University to be OPEN, FUNCTIONING, and TEACHING by 2026. Nothing less.
