🇸🇰 KK Lisková – a day we will remember for a long time 🥰

The alarm went off at 1 AM. While most people were still asleep, we were already on our way to Ružomberok with six dogs, a Berlingo, and plenty of anticipation. 🚗💜
Competitions are always special for us. Not only because of the time spent together with our team and dogs, but because of the people as well. 🤗 Over the past year, we have travelled across Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland, and everywhere we went, we felt surrounded by friends. 🥹 Lisková was no different. Smiles, kind words, genuine congratulations, and people who make every mile worth driving. 🫶
From early morning, it was clear that a challenging day awaited us. The temperature kept rising, and within a few hours the field had turned into a steam bath. 🥵🌡️
It quickly became obvious that today we would not only be competing against our opponents, but also against the weather.
During the running rounds, the Phoenix dogs gave everything they had. Some struggled with the heat, some searched for their focus, but every dog brought their best to the field that day.
One of the most beautiful moments of the day belonged to Raven and Nana. Months of hard work finally came together in a flawless 12-point run. Anyone who has watched their journey knows how much effort, perseverance and learning stand behind that result. 💪
And speaking of records...
Dáma and Nana delivered an incredible flawless 13-point running round, setting a new National Record and claiming the top spot on the podium. Standing beside the field, I found myself counting the catches while they worked. Eleven. Twelve. Thirteen. The moment I realized I was witnessing a perfect run and a new National Record, I simply could not hold back my excitement. 🥹🥳🤩 These are the moments that make all the work worthwhile. 🥹
During the midday break, the dogs cooled off in the nearby stream while cooling vests, electrolytes, treats and a well-deserved rest became the priority. Then it was time for jumping. 👀
The Phoenix dogs performed brilliantly once again. There were perfect rounds, great battles, valuable lessons and important realizations. Perhaps the most important message of the day was that every round is an opportunity to improve, and sometimes a piece of advice or an outside perspective can be worth more than a medal. 💜
💜 By the end of the competition, we had gained far more than results. 💜
For us, Lisková was never just about podium finishes. It was about being together. 🥹Laughing, joking, cheering each other on, and during those few minutes spent on the field, bringing out the very best in both ourselves and our dogs.

🇭🇺 KK Lisková – egy nap, amit sokáig emlegetni fogunk
Hajnali 1-kor szólt az ébresztő. Mire a legtöbben még aludtak, mi már úton voltunk Rózsahegy felé, hat kutyával, egy Berlingóval és rengeteg várakozással.
A versenyek mindig különlegesek számunkra. Nemcsak a csapattal és kutyáinkkal együtt töltött idő miatt, hanem az emberek miatt is. Az elmúlt évben bejártuk Szlovákiát, Csehországot és Lengyelországot, és bármerre jártunk, mindenhol barátok között éreztük magunkat. Liskován sem volt ez másképp. Mosolyok, kedves szavak, őszinte gratulációk és olyan emberek, akikért újra és újra megéri autóba ülni.
Már reggel érezni lehetett, hogy kemény nap vár ránk. A hőmérséklet gyorsan emelkedett, a pálya percek alatt gőzfürdővé változott, és hamar világossá vált: ma nemcsak az ellenfelekkel, hanem az időjárással is meg kell küzdenünk.
A running futamok során a Phoenix kutyái becsülettel helytálltak. Volt, aki a hőséggel küzdött, volt, aki a koncentrációját kereste, de mindenki kihozta magából azt, ami azon a napon benne volt.
A nap egyik legszebb pillanatát Raven és Timi szolgáltatta. Hosszú hónapok munkája érett be előttünk: hibátlan, 12 pontos futammal zártak. Aki látta őket az elmúlt időszakban dolgozni, pontosan tudja, mennyi energia, kitartás és tanulás van e mögött az eredmény mögött.
És ha már rekordok...
Dáma és Timi elképesztő, hibátlan 13 pontos running futamot mutattak be, amellyel új nemzeti rekordot állítottak fel, és a dobogó legfelső fokára állhattak. A pálya szélén állva számoltam a dobásokat, miközben Timi és Dáma a pályán dolgoztak. Tizenegy. Tizenkettő. Tizenhárom. Amikor tudatosult bennem, hogy hibátlan futamot látok és új nemzeti rekord született, már nem tudtam visszafogni az örömömet. Az ilyen pillanatokért érdemes dolgozni.
A déli szünetben a kutyák a közeli patakban hűsöltek, előkerültek a hűtőmellények, az elektrolitok, a jutalomfalatok és a jól megérdemelt pihenés. Délután pedig következett a jumping.
A Phoenix kutyái itt is fantasztikusan teljesítettek. Voltak tökéletes futamok, nagy küzdelmek, tanulságok és felismerések is. A nap egyik legfontosabb üzenete talán az volt, hogy minden futam lehetőséget ad a fejlődésre, és néha egy tanács vagy egy kívülről érkező észrevétel többet ér, mint egy érem.
A verseny végére nemcsak eredményekkel, hanem élményekkel is gazdagodtunk.
A liskovai nap számunkra nem csak a dobogókról szólt. Hanem arról, hogy együtt voltunk. Nevettünk, hülyéskedtünk, szurkoltunk egymásnak, és abban a néhány percben, amit a pályán tölthettünk, kihoztuk magunkból és a kutyáinkból a maximumot.
