Projekt Modelovej konferencie vznikol v roku 2007 na základe potreby praktickej prípravy študentov Fakulty medzinárodných vzťahov (FMV EUBA) v oblasti diplomatických negociácií. Cieľom modelovej konferencie je umožniť študentom druhého ročníka II. stupňa FMV rozšíriť si teoretické vedomosti a získať praktické zručnosti v oblasti negociácií, bilaterálnej i multilaterálnej diplomacie, aplikácie cudzích jazykov a protokolu vo formáte summitu na pôde OSN:
Na záverečnej konferencii sa zúčastnia diplomatickí zástupcovia, médiá, ako aj odborná i laická verejnosť. Je to simulácia medzinárodnej konferencie svetových aktérov, ktorí riešia pálčivé otázky súčasných medzinárodných vzťahov.

The Model Conference project was established in 2007 based on the present need of practical training for students of the Faculty of International Relations (FMV EUBA) in diplomatic negotiations. The aim of the Model Conference is to expand theoretical knowledge of the students in the final year of their master degree at FMV and for them to gain practical skills in negotiations, bilateral and multilateral diplomacy, foreign languages and application of protocol in the form of a summit to simulate an environment of a real conference. The final conference will be attended by diplomatic representatives, media, experts and general public. The Model Conference is not just a university course! It is a simulation of an international conference of world actors addressing burning issues of current international relations.
