On Thursday, June 20, at the II. Elementary School Rogaška Slatina the first "I Feel Slovenia" Open Co****le championship was held. Co****le is an ever increasingly popular game with 10 million registered players in the United States alone. This I Feel Slovenia competition was conducted in singles with a sporty and competitive atmosphere in which competitors played until they reached 21 points or more. The entire competition was divided into various categories for elementary school youth and adults with over 300 competitors participating. Of course, this was a new game for most of the children, but they understood the rules with ease and with great energy quickly entered into the competitive flow of Co****le.
The semifinals and finals in each of the categories grew into a loud atmosphere with students supporting their classmates with cheers and applause. The competition among adults was also held among individuals throwing bags at the original, official distance of 8.23m.
The general interest in this new and expanding game fills us with great optimism at the Slovenian Co****le Association since one hotel director desires to see an annual competition at the same location of Rogaška Slatina. Each competitor received a reusable bottle and bag as a souvenir of the first competition under the auspices of the I Feel Slovenia brand. The competition took place throughout the morning and ended at 2:00 pm with the awarding of medals to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
The competition itself was made possible by the Slovenian Tourist Organization, II. Elementary School Rogaška Slatina and the European Co****le Association (a work in progress) in conjunction with the Slovenian Co****le Association.
