🪂 Do you have the feeling that your glider doesn't fly as good as it did when it was new? trimming and tunning.
📝 In most European countries and over the world, paragliding equipment needs to have a technical inspection once in two years or after every 100 hours of flight, determined by flight regulations.
📏 There is a general rule, that A-lines stretch and the B/C-lines usually shorten. This effect occurs with all lines, regardless of the material, dimension or manufacturer. After that, the changes are less noticeable. In order to be able to fully use the glider performances, safety and establish the default values, the glider needs to be trimmed. Besides that, gliders can be trimmed to the specific personal demands or, e.g. competition demands, without compromising safety and still be within the regulations.
💯 I have a more than 15 years of experiences in professional use of paragliders and competing in highest level possible. (PWC’s, Europeans, Words, etc..). Therefore, the equipment always has to be in superb condition and for that matter the trimming and tunning the glider is needed regularly. I have flown almost all possible competition gliders from Open class, to CCC class and trim them as well. In that matter I gain a lot of experiences in gliders trimming and tuning, etc.. I also trim gliders for a lot of top-competition pilots, where nothing but perfection is accepted.
🪂 Glider checking:
Our service carries out an inspection from risers to the wing with internal constructions – reinforcement, material porosity and strength. Laser measurements of the lines are made to determinate if the lengths are in accordance with certificated model data. If necessary, minor damages on the wing are repaired and line trimming, to establish allowed AoA, is made. There is also special trimming & tunning possible, mostly for competition gliders and pilots, where everything is made to its perfection. The aim is, to achieve up to +/- 4mm in AoA for every group. And/or special competition trimming is applied.
