Dear Lumberjack friends,
it has been 10 years since we have set up a first Disc Golf course in Slovenija right on mount Kope and organised a first Disc Golf tournament in Slovenija. It has been 10 years of joy, hard work, great parties, tough and enjoyable Disc Golf, all kinds of side events, new and now old friendships. You players/competitors made it all possible, by bringing all the great energy and support to Kope. It was more than worthed, we enjoyed every moment of it!
Through the years a lot has changed on Kope, from a small hut with 12 holes to now a new modern hotel with multiple restaurants and Disc Golf course that occasionally made even best Central European players legs tremble.
This year the changes on the mountain got so big that a substantial part of the course became unplayable. We tried to speed up the process and make the Lumberjack open possible for the 11th time, but unfortunately things did not turn as planned. So we have to call the LUMBERJACK OPEN 2023 CANCELED.
Our dedication to this great sport is strong and we will continue to strive and work to make the 2024 edition possible!

Dragi prijatelji Lumberjacka,
minilo je 10 let, odkar smo ravno na Kopah postavili prvo Slovensko disk golf igrišče in organizirali prvi disk golf turnir v Sloveniji. Bilo je 10 let veselja, trdega dela, odličnih zabav, napornega in uživaškega disk golfa, vseh vrst spremljevalnih dogodkov, novih in zdaj starih prijateljstev. Vse to ste omogočili vi igralci/tekmovalci, ki ste na Kope prinesli vso svojo silno energijo in podporo. Bilo je več kot vredno, uživali smo v vsakem trenutku!
Skozi leta se je na Kopah marsikaj spremenilo, od mahjne koče in igrišča z 12 luknjami, do zdaj novega modernega hotela z več restavracijami in disk golf igriščem, ob katerem so se občasno tresle noge tudi najboljšim srednjeevropskim igralcem.
Letos so bile spremembe na gori tako velike, da je velik del igrišča zahteval korenite spremembe preden bi na njemu lahko igrali. Poskušali smo pospešiti proces in omogočiti Lumberjack open že enajstič, a žal se stvari niso obrnile po načrtih. Zato moramo LUMBERJACK OPEN 2023 ODPOVEDATI.
Naša predanost temu odličnemu športu je močna in še naprej si bomo prizadevali in delali, da bo turnir 2024 mogoč!
