🔥 Prihaja SLOBALLER CAMP 10! 🔥

Prišli smo do 10. kampa – kar je lep mejnik in dokaz, da skupaj delamo nekaj dobrega. Z vsakim kampom se učimo, rastemo in izboljšujemo stvari, zato verjamemo, da bo ta še boljši kot vsi do zdaj.
Za 10. kamp pripravljamo malo več vsega – več nagrad, nekaj novih stvari in še več uporabnega znanja, ki ga lahko odneseš s sabo. Glavni cilj pa ostaja isti: dobra energija, napredek in fajn izkušnja za vse.
Če razmišljaš, da bi se pridružil – je to super priložnost, da prideš zraven. 👀

Po skoraj šestih letih skupnega treniranja. 🙏🏻
Za Sloballer Camp 9 sem se odločil, da poseben gost ne bo nekdo, ki igra v prvi slovenski članski ligi, ampak nekdo, ki je otrokom bližje. Nekdo, ki je vedno deloval kot neperspektiven, a je s svojim trudom znova in znova presenečal.
Živimo v času, ko se veliko vsebine objavlja na družbenih omrežjih, in tudi sam sem ob začetku projekta začel z objavami. Vedad je bil eden prvih, ki sem ga objavljal. Tisti, ki se spomnite videov, veste, kako je izgledal takrat. Videje si lahko ogledate tudi med highlighti pod 1 DRILLS Napredek, ki ga je skozi leta naredil, je ogromen.
Skozi treninge sem prejel veliko kritik, iz katerih sem se tudi marsikaj naučil, a sem vedno verjel, da moramo otrokom – ne glede na njihovo znanje in fizične sposobnosti – dati veliko več. Seveda so temelj osnovna tehnična znanja, vendar ob tem verjamem, da je košarka igra prilagajanja. Več kot jim pokažemo, lažje se bodo kasneje prilagodili igri. Najpogostejša kritika je bila: »Tega ne bo rabil pri košarki.« A skozi čas se je izplačalo vložiti trud v različne načine vodenja žoge, napadalne poteze, različne dvokorake, mete in podaje.
Danes Vedad poleg osnovnih tehničnih znanj obvlada tudi nekatere zahtevnejše elemente. Ne želim ga kovati v zvezde in se spraševati – kot nam je pogosto v navadi – ali bo lahko igral na višjem nivoju. Želim si le, da ostane predan svojemu delu, sledi trenerjem, ostalo pa bo pokazal čas. Pogosto kasneje zrastejo apetiti in pogled na igralca postane preveč obremenjen s pričakovanji. Včasih pa je dovolj že to, da pokaže, da je tak preskok mogoč.
Najbolj pa sem ponosen, da je skozi treninge, vožnje z avtom in pogovore odrastel v izjemno osebo. To ga bo spremljalo na njegovi življenjski poti – na igrišču in izven njega. 📈

How time flies…
I remember back in early 2020 when we started working out. You came in as a little kid who didn’t really look like a basketball player, but you started putting in the work. I remember how we used to talk about basketball during our car rides to the court almost every day. The theme was always basketball - nothing else. But more importantly, we talked a lot about discipline. Because when I looked at you back then, I knew that the only way you’d succeed in basketball was with a great basketball mind and strong discipline. 📈

My workouts were always focused on movement, footwork, learning new moves, trying something different, gaining control of the body, and improving ball handling. It was never just the same routine - crossover, between the legs, behind the back, and spin - because I knew that if we just stuck to that, we could work for years and you’d end up like almost everybody else.

If we wanted something more, we had to teach something different - not like everybody else. I heard that a lot of coaches didn’t like this method of teaching new moves. Some called them “NBA moves.” But to me, it was normal to teach kids different moves and different layups, because I believe that this kind of learning can help them later. If we don’t teach them this when they’re young, then when? 🤔

And now - does he have bad handles? No.
Did he learn the crossover, between the legs, behind the back, and spin? Yes.

If we look back at that kid from 2020, could we have imagined that he’d be able to move like this today? Some people trust the process, and some don’t. But for me, the most important thing is that the right people did.

Some coaches claim they create players, but I truly believe it’s players like Vedad who inspire and shape coaches. I’ve learned so much through this process, and I can’t wait to see you take on this new chapter.

I’m so proud of my brother Tim Tomažič for being selected to play for the Slovenian national team. 🇸🇮
I’ve known him since we were kids, and seeing how deeply he dreamed of reaching the top level makes this moment even more special. He’s faced ups and downs along the way, but he always stayed true to himself and did what was best for his growth. 📈

But what’s even more important is the love he shows off the court and the incredible character he carries with him everywhere he goes. ❤️

Watching his hard work and his heart shine through reminds me that anything is possible. 🙏🏻
