This weekend the Markovič brothers travelled to Virovitica to compete in Cage Grappling 🥋🔥

Three of our students travelled to Rome to compete at AJP 🇮🇹🥋

Two bronze medals came home, congratulations to Maj 🥉 and Lan 🥉 👏🔥

But more importantly they showed real independence and teamwork. Traveling, preparing, competing and taking responsibility for their own performance.
This is what development looks like.
Not just better grapplers, but more capable young people.

Halavanca Ljubljana celebrated 2 years yesterday 🎉

As tradition, we marked it with our special in-house tournament and Swedish fika ☕️

Even without our head coach regularly on site, the group keeps stepping up, taking responsibility, and constantly developing into better people and better grapplers 📈🥋

Talent is real, and some people become skillful almost regardless of the system , but what really stands out here is that you can’t find a “rest round” in this room.
Every match was competitive, exciting, and of an incredibly high level, especially considering their experience 💥🔥

And of course, big congratulations to our medalists!

Halavanca Ljubljana celebrated 2 years yesterday 🎉

As tradition, we marked it with our special in-house tournament and Swedish fika ☕️

Short experience, a new ruleset, and for one of them a no-gi debut.
But it didn’t matter, we create problem solvers, not pattern followers.

We usually care more about development than results…
but sometimes you just have to brag a little 😄

We prioritize quality over quantity. We’d rather build a smaller, focused team that develops together and performs well in under pressure.

For this reason, our classes are currently full. This means we’re not enrolling new members right now.

👉 If you’re interested in trying a class, please send us a message first so we can:
• check if there’s space
• find the best day for you
• make sure the class focus fits

This helps us give you and the team the best possible training experience.

AJP Slovenia national championship ✅️

Results matter, but the way this team supported each other yesterday meant even more 🙌

11 athletes giving everything on the mats, helping each other all day, and performing their best under pressure 💪
4 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze, with half the group competing for the first time in stacked divisions is incredible.

Proud is an understatement. 💙🥋

Yesterday our amazing youths went to Vienna for AJP Tour, they supported and helped each other, which is most important, and in the end brought home a gold and bronze medal! 🥇🥉
logar went up a weight class and still took the gold via submission, he also showed up to morning training today and beat us all up aswell 😅

AJP Tour Varaždin done ✅️

First comp, first break out performance, first guard pass and first takedown for some of us 💪😎 Every single one of you has improved so much during this preperation!

Because of injuries, sickness and other responsibilities, we "only" sent 7 competitors and brought back:
- 1 Gold 🥇
- 4 Silver 🥈
- 3 Bronze 🥉

Overall a great team effort and that is all that matters! Very proud of how we cared and supported each other both there and from a distance. Great job team ❤️

Turns out… your body had a better idea. ✅

In a study comparing two common recovery positions, athletes who leaned forward with hands on knees recovered significantly better than those standing with hands on head.

🟢 Hands on knees helps you:
• Breathe easier (+17% ventilation)
• Recover faster
• Feel less breathless

Just like in BJJ, the body doesn’t need a step-by-step manual.
Give the body a challenge it cares about, in an environment that matters, and it adapts.
