There’s not a parent around who doesn’t feel slightly guilty about seeing their kids veg out on their smartphones or tablets. Swingy is an innovative exercise toy that makes parents glad their children are playing digital games. It stimulates children to move while playing digital games, enhances their sense of balance, and improves their coordination. It is made of wood and designed for children
aged 4 to 12. So how does Swingy work? The Swingy balance boards are equipped with sensors that wirelessly connect to a tablet or smartphone. Each balance board controls one of the parameters on the screen. For example, in the first game we developed, Swing Pong, each balance board controls one of the sliders on the screen. This means children play the game with their legs and have fun while improving their balance, coordination, and reflexes. Swingy encourages children to be active, improves their balance and coordination, and trains muscles required for a healthy posture. It helps children become more athletic and agile. It also develops fitness habits by integrating active time into playtime. Swingy also comforts parents as it enables their children to be doing something beneficial while they are playing video games.
