The mountain biking racing season has come to an end. Now it's time to unwind, rest, and take a break from the bike. It's the time for other activities that we don't give much attention to during the year.

Fartlek, hiking, trail running, or swapping the mountain bike for cyclocross or gravel riding are all great options. 🥾👟

The key is to take a break from the daily training we’ve been doing all year long. And after some time, when we start to miss the bike, we can return to it with joy.

You’re probably familiar with the "training cycles" many athletes get caught in. 🤔

A surge of motivation leads to intense, long workouts, resulting in quick progress. But then comes a short break, followed by a period of demotivation and the feeling that your performance is stagnating or even regressing. 📉

This is the classic vicious cycle that occurs when training isn't approached in the right way.

When aiming to gradually improve performance and elevate your body to a higher level, it's crucial to provide the right stimuli at the right time. At the same time, it's important not to overdo it and to allow your body time to rest. Only in this way can we continue to improve and make training sustainable in the long term.

Why choose coaching over training alone?

Anyone who has ever been involved in sports knows that a thoughtful approach is essential for healthy and effective training, whether you're an elite athlete or a recreational one. In both cases, it's crucial to prepare the body in a healthy way to reach its full potential.

Training isn't just about pushing your limits; it's a carefully planned process where you work on different aspects to strengthen various parts of the body. Alongside structured training, rest, sleep, nutrition, and mindset play key roles in making progress. As many of you already know, TancaCoaching is dedicated to providing performance training for individuals. While we specialize in mountain biking, we also work with athletes from various endurance sports.

This is exactly what we wanted to highlight with our new design. The simple, minimalist lettering represents our focused approach, while the rainbow beneath it symbolizes diversity, individuality, and personalized training tailored to each athlete. We understand that every individual, every athlete, is unique and requires a fully customized program to unlock their maximum potential and achieve their goals.

September is a time for new beginnings. The same goes for TancaCoaching.

A new visual identity, new jerseys, and a new opportunity to race. This time, we were with the whole team in Serbia, facing a three-day stage race. We gave it our all, battling both ourselves and the challenging course ahead.

The racing conditions were good, the atmosphere and company even better, and in the end, we are very pleased with the results, which are a reflection of our years of hard work and training. 🚲

Our motto remains: stay focused and enjoy what we love to do. 📈

Also this year we will organize group rides / races on Zwift. 🚵

We will start with 1 hour of endurance driving (avg 3.5w/kg) and then continue with the competition. The competition part of the ride will start with a sign at 60:00 minutes and will last about half an hour.

Why a group ride on Zwift? In this way, we make training more fun and cover training specifics of endurance and high intensity. We also work on our tactics with riding in slipstream, accelerations and sprinting at the right momemnt.

The date of the first ride will be 19.12.2021 at 18.00 a clock!

Our competitor Meta Tancik won the title of European champion in the u13 category yestarday in Pila (Italy).
In the time trial, she secured a good starting position in the previous days. Then she and the Swiss rider drove together in the foreground, and towards the end of the first lap Meta drove forward and only increased the difference until the end.🚴

The 4 Islands stage race is over. The whole team is very satisfied with the performance, results and, last but not least, the experience. After hard five days of racing and traveling from island to island, they need a short break, then they will start a new cycle of training and prepare for the rest of the racing season.

Among men, Gregor Dimic and Blaž Žle were 15th in the overall standings, and they are extremely satisfied with the ranking on the last stage on Lošinj, where they achieved an excellent 7th place.
Mario Matulović and Davor Krezic were 29th in the same category.

Among the masters, Mitja Tancik and Marko Fržop achieved an excellent 3rd place in the strongest competition.🥉

The stages on Krk and Rab are done for the competitors.

In the race around Krk, the competitors struggled not only with time, but also with technical problems. Gregor and Mitja had a punctured, so solving the problems took them quite some time. Otherwise, the team works very well, the routes are interesting, and also the good weather is boosting our experiance.
