🇸🇮 V NOVE GLOBINE IN VIŠINE

Pretekli teden se je v Skalarjevem breznu na Kaninskih podih mudila 7-članska ekipa, ki je v najglobljih galerijah raziskovala potencialna nadaljevanja. V jugovzhodnih galerijah za bivakom Hotel California smo za polsifonom Sandy Candy raziskali ogromno podorno dvorano Paint it black, ki pa zaenkrat nima nadaljevanja. Več vetra v jadra smo zajeli v delih Ajdovska burja in se prebili v galerije Črno-beli svet z aktivno vodo in številnimi fosilnimi rovi nad aktivnimi deli. Nadaljevanja v tem delu jame nas čakajo v prihodnjih akcijah, smo pa tu dosegli tudi najglobljo točko jame, ki sedaj znaša 1209 m globine. Drugi del raziskav je potekal v južnih galerijah za sifonskim jezerom Free W***y z izhodiščem v bivaku Hotel Paradiso. Tu smo namestili prečnice do točke, ki smo jih dosegli na akcijah v preteklem letu. Od tu smo nadaljevali s tehničnim plezanjem krajših stopenj in se prebili v dno večjega brezna. Te dele smo poimenovali Babica gre na jug. Od tu smo tehnično preplezali okoli 50 m kamina, do fosilnih galerij pa nas loči še približno 20 m plezanja. Dimenzije pričakovanih rovov so spodbudne, obenem pa nas je razveselil tudi prepih v dnu brezna, ki nakazuje pot tudi v aktivnih delih. Z večjo količino opreme, bomo v prihodnjih akcijah potešili našo neumorno radovednost. Skupaj smo v raziskavah izmerili skoraj 500 m novih rovov.

🇬🇧 TO NEW DEPTHS AND HEIGHTS
Last week, a 7-member team descended deep into the Skalar Shaft at Kanin Mountain to explore possible continuations into the deepest galleries. In the southeastern galleries behind the Hotel California bivouac, behind the Sandy Candy semi-siphon, we explored the huge Paint it black collapse hall, which so far has no continuation. In parts of Ajdovska burja (Ajdovščina bora wind) we got more wind in the sails and entered the galleries of Črno beli svet (Black and White World) with active water and numerous fossil channels above the active parts. The continuation in this part of the cave awaits us in future explorations, but here we also reached the deepest point of the cave, which is now 1209 m deep. The second part of the exploration took place in the southern galleries behind Free W***y Siphon Lake, starting at the Hotel Paradiso bivouac. Here we installed the traverses to the point we had reached during last year's explorations. From here we continued the technical climbing in shorter stages, reaching the bottom of a larger shaft. We called these sections Babica gre na jug (Granny Goes South). From here we technically climbed about 50 m of the chimney, and about 20 m of climbing still separates us from the fossil galleries. The dimensions of the expected galleries are encouraging, and at the same time, we were pleased to feel the breeze at the bottom of the shaft, leading the way even in the active parts. With more extensive equipment, we will satisfy our tireless curiosity in future explorations. In total, we surveyed almost 500 m of new channels.

Jutri predstavljamo rezultate raziskav v Skalarjevem breznu na 15. BOFF (Bovec Outdoor Film Festival). otvorimo ob 16. uri, v nadaljevanju pa sledijo še tri super predavanja. Vljudno vabljeni!

Ni še konec, dokler res ni konec. ☺️ Po prihodu domov nas čaka še urejanje opreme, med drugim tudi pranje transportk. Med našo odpravo so se transportke Aventure Verticale izkazale z izjemno vzdržljivostjo in kakovostjo izdelave.

It ain't over til it's over. ☺️ After returning home, we have to sort out all the gear, and wash the transport bags among the others. During our expedition the Aventure Verticale transport bags prove to be very sturdy and quality manufactured.

🇸🇮 Statistika odprave Skalar 2022 Expedition 🟰 Med 10. in 20. avgustom je na vseh akcijah sodelovalo 38 jamarjev, iz 7 držav (🇸🇮 Slovenija, 🇮🇹 Italija, 🇸🇰 Slovaška, 🇲🇰 Severna Makedonija, 🇸🇪 Švedska, 🇺🇦 Ukrajina in 🇮🇱 Izrael) ter iz 13 različnih slovenskih jamarskih društev. Najnižja točka brezna ostaja na globini - 1200 m, smo pa raziskali in izmerili za dobrih 1 km rovov ter na novo izmerili še 1,1 km starih rovov. Skupna dolžina Skalarjevega brezna znaša sedaj 8176 m, od julija 2021 pa smo skupaj raziskali preko 3,5 km novih rovov.

🇬🇧 Statistics of the Skalar 2022 Expedition 🟰 Between August 10 and 20 there were 38 cavers from 7 different countries (🇸🇮 Slovenia, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇸🇰 Slovakia, 🇲🇰 North Macedonia, 🇸🇪 Sweden, 🇺🇦 Ukraine and 🇮🇱 Israel) and 13 different Slovenian caving clubs. The lowest point in the cave remain on the depth of - 1200 m, but we have research and surveyed a bit over 1 km of the new passages, and have newly surveyed 1,1 km of older parts. Combine length of Skalarjevo brezno is now 8176 m. From July 2021 we have discovered more than 3,5 km of new parts.

🇸🇮 V soboto je potekala zadnja akcija ne letošnji odpravi. Na njej smo iz globine - 550 m (stari bivak pri breznu Rolling Stones) iznesli za okoli 150 kg stare hrane in opreme, ki se je tam nabrala skozi desetletja raziskovanj. Na čistilni akciji so sodelovali Matic, Špela, Олег, Darja, Matevž, Klemen, Darko, Mitja, Yuri, Yuval, Olda in Den. Jure in Karin sta izmerila še brezno nad Apokalipso. Sledila je zaključna zabava in v nedeljo odhod v dolino.

🇬🇧 On Saturday, we did the last trip into the cave on this expedition. From the depth of - 550 m (the old bivouac at the Rolling Stones pit), we have transported around 150 kg of old food and gear, which has accumulated there thruout the decades of explorations. On this cleaning trip have participated Matic, Špela, Олег, Darja, Matevž, Klemen, Darko, Mitja, Yuri, Yuval, Olda and Den. Jure and Karin had been surveying the pit before Apokalipsa parts. After that, there was a farewell party and on Sunday we returned to the valley.

🇸🇮 Danes zjutraj se je zaključilo raziskovanje v sklopu odprave Skalar 2022 Expedition‼️ Kot zadnja sta ob 7.30 iz jame priplezala Matjaž in Grega in prinesla odlične novice - rovi za polsifonom Sandy Candy se nadaljujejo v več smereh! 💥 Zaradi izredno močnega prepiha 💨 smo te nove dele poimenovali Ajdovska burja. Že v četrtek je iz dna jame, z nekaj tuširanja v zgornjih delih jame, prišla tudi ekipa v sestavi Jure, Karin in Kateryna, ki je prav tako odkrila nadvse obetavno nadaljevanje. Danes se bo v jamo do globine 550 m spustila še večja skupina jamarjev, da iznese opremo, ki se je nakopičila med raziskovanjem v zadnjih desetletjih. Obenem pa b***a Jure in Karin še enkrat obiskala zlovešči meander Pijavka (-400 m) in nadaljevala z opremljanjem in meritvami v smeri brezna Apokalipsa.

🇬🇧 Today in the morning the exploration of new parts on Skalar 2022 Expedition has come to an end!! Matjaž and Grega climbed out as last at 7:30 a.m. and brought excellent news from the bottom - the channels after semi-siphon Sandy Candy continue in multiple directions 💥 Due to extreme draft 💨 we named this parts "Ajdovska burja". Already on Thursday the team with Jure, Karin and Kateryna climbed out of the bottom of the cave (-1200 m), with some showering at the upper part of the cave, and brought the news of promising continuation in the other branch of the cave, passing Free W***y. Today large group of cavers will descent down to -550 m, with the aim to recover the old gear that has pilled up in the cave during last decades. Meanwhile, Jure and Karin will once again visit the nuctoriuous Pijavka Meander (-400 m) and continue with rigging and measurement towards the Apokalipsa Shaft.

🇸🇮 Od naše zadnjega daljšega poročila se je na odpravi dogajalo kar precej. Bor in Den sta v soboto in nedeljo prespala v Bivaku 1 in merila stare dele jame pod breznom Mlajši brat ter se nato v ponedeljek vrnila iz jame. Yuri, Peter in Jerica so v soboto izmerili prečnico nad sifonom Free W***y in vhod v rov, ki poteka v smeri proti jugu. Klemen in Darko sta v nedeljo nadaljevala z raziskovanjem tega rova in namerila več kot 200 m nadaljevanja. V ponedeljek so se ekipi v bivaku Hotel California pridružil še Jure, Karin, Kateryna in Ivan. Darko in Yuval sta odšla proti Bivaku 1 ter nato v torek na površje. V torek so Jure, Karin in Kateryna v rovu za Free W***yem vzpostavili Bivak 3, od koder bodo do petka raziskovali možna nadaljevanja v teh delih jame. Yuri, Ivan in Klemen so bili v Sandy Candy, o čemur smo že poročali. Trenutno sta v jami dve ekipi, katerih prihod na površje pričakujemo v petek ali v soboto, odvisno od padavin, ki jih pričakujemo danes zvečer in jutri proti jutru.

🇬🇧 Since our last extensive report there has been a lot happening on expedition. From Saturday to Monday Bor and Den has stayed in Bivouac 1 where they were surveying the old parts of the cave below the shaft Mlajši brat. On Saturday Yuri, Peter and Jerica have been measuring the traverse above the sump Free W***y and the entrance to the big hallway which is going towards the south. Klemen and Darko have continued the exploration of this passage on Sunday and have measured more than 200 m of new parts. On Monday the team in bivouac Hotel California was reinforced with Jure, Karin, Kateryna and Ivan. Darko and Yuval has started their journey to the Bivouac 1 and on Tuesday towards the surface. On Tuesday Jure, Karin and Kateryina started setting up the Bivouac 3 in the passage beyond the Free W***y, from where they will explore possible continuations in those parts. Yuri, Ivan and Klemen were at Sandy Candy, from where we have already reported. Currently there are two teams in the cave. Their return is expected on Friday or Saturday, depending on the rainfall which we expect today at night and Friday morning.

Za začetek kratka novička o super 💥 odkritju za pol-sifonom Sandy Candy na globini -1100 m. Yuri se je v suhi obleki splazil na drugo stran jezerca in v nadaljevanju odkril ... Poglejte si v 🎞 videu 😉 Včeraj so Yurija, Ivan in Klemen zamenjala Matjaž in Grega, ki b***a do jutri poizkusila razširiti ⛏ prehod, da bodo novi deli dostopni tudi po suhi poti. Kasneje vam postrežemo še z malo obsežnejšim poročilom o dogajanju na odpravi v preteklih dneh.

Later we will prepare more extensive report about happening in the previous days.

🇸🇮 Včerajšnji dan smo bili zaradi slabe vremenske napovedi ⛈ bolj previdni, danes pa ponovno v polnem zagonu 🔝. Iz jame danes na površje prihajajo Rok, Milan in Олег. Obstoječi ekipi v bivaku Hotel California na -1000 m (Yuri, Jerica, Peter in Yuval) se pridružijo še Darko, Kateryna in Klemen. Na bivaku BB (-550 m) ostajata Damijan in Damijan, pridružita se jima še Bor in Den. Na merjenje starih delov v meandru Pijavka odhajajo Jure, Karin in Ivan. V Streli b***a delala še Saša in Leopold. Zaradi okvare jamskega telefona nimamo podrobnih informacij o napredku v jami, vendar nam je Roberto ob prihodku iz jame poročal, da so po preplezanem kaminu nad sifonom na 1167 m globine dosegli velik kanjon s podzemno reko, na koncu katerega je novo sifonsko jezero. Upamo, da nam danes uspe popraviti jamski telefon in se ponovno oglasimo jutri s svežimi novicami.

🇬🇧 Yesterday's bad weather forecast ⛈ was the reason we were a bit careful, but today we are already in full swing 🔝. Rok, Milan and Олег are returning to the surface. The team in bivouac Hotel California at -1000 m (Yuri, Jerica, Peter and Yuval) will join Darko, Kateryna and Klemen. In bivouac BB (-550 m) are staying Damijan and Damijan, they will be joined by Bor and Den. Jure, Karin and Ivan will go measuring meander Pijavka. Saša and Leopold will work in meander Strela. Because of malfunction of the cave telephone we don't have detailed information from the cave, but Roberto has told us, after he surfaced the cave, that they managed to climb to the window above the sump at the depth of 1167 m, where they reached a big canyon with the underground river and afterwards a new sump. We hope that we will manage to repair the connection with the cave, so tomorrow we could bring some fresh news from the cave.

🇸🇮 Odprava se je začela! Danes smo se povzpeli na goro in do koče pripeljali goro opreme in hrane. Mednarodna ekipa se aklimatizira in pripravlja na bivanje v podzemlju. Do vhoda smo tudi že napeljali VOX kabel za komunikacijo. Ob 12:30 pa so se na 4 dnevno raziskovalno akcijo odpravile jamarske legende Rok Stopar, Milan Podpečan, Roberto Antonini ter Oleg Klymchuk.

🇬🇧 So the expedition begins! Today we went up to the mountain and transported a pile of equipment and food to the hut. International team is already making some acclimatization and preparation for spending the days underground. We have already placed a VOX communication all the way to the entrance. At 12:30 the legends of cave exploration Rok Stopar, Milan Podpečan, Roberto Antonini and Oleg Klymchuk entered the cave and begin their 4 days of exploration.
