If you are a woman over 50 navigating perimenopauses, this one is for you.

The other day, I was buried in work at my computer when a thought popped into my head:

"If you don't do your workout now... it's probably not happening today."

I knew that voice was right.

So instead of overthinking it, negotiating with myself, or promising I'd do it later...

I just got up and moved.

And wow. The rest of my day went so much better.

Here’s what I want you to take from that:

When that little voice in your head tries to be helpful, listen to it.

Because if you don't, eventually it will go silent.

In my case, with the workout, it didn’t have to be a full-blown workout to "count."

It just had to be something. (And if I had thought about it for 10 seconds before I got up, it probably wouldn’t have happened, TBH.)

The real benefit wasn't physical... it was a mindset victory.

Because listening to that voice reinforced something important: that my fitness and health matter to me.

And over time, it helps make consistency feel natural.

So the next time that little voice nudges you to:

→ Go for the walk
→ Prep the meal
→ Stretch for 5 minutes
→ Go to bed earlier
→ Get the workout done

Don’t overthink it.

Move before your brain talks you out of it.

Save this for the next time you need the reminder.

The gap between your chronological age and your biological age comes down to your habits:
✅ How you move
✅ How you sleep
✅ What you eat
✅ How you manage stress

coming back to the gym after a long trip, most of my clients will say almost the same thing "Today's session feels difficult".

What's interesting is, i will usually drop the intensity slightly. But this is the truth of when we loose the momentum.

We train. We build. We gain. We go on break. We restart. This is the usual cycle.

To overcome this i tell my clients this "something is better than nothing".

I don't need my clients to do a full workout on their own but i do want them to stay active.

Music has such a powerful way of shifting your mood. Studies show it actually boosts mood, helps you push harder during workouts, and can even help you go longer without feeling as tired.

You’ve seen plenty of “healthy swap” lists that sound great in theory…
But let’s be real: if it’s too complicated (or gross), it’s not gonna happen.

Here are 3 swaps I actually use and recommend to all my clients battling with snacking.

1️⃣ Afternoon snack attack?
❌ Skip: Protein bars
✅ Try: Greek yogurt + a few dark chocolate chips
🧠 Why: Much better protein quality, fewer additives, and it actually keeps you full

2️⃣ Need crunch at lunch?
❌ Skip: Low-fat crackers
✅ Try: Sliced cucumber + hummus or guac
🧠 Why: Lower in carbs, higher in fiber, and supports blood sugar balance

3️⃣ Craving dessert?
❌ Skip: Low-calorie ice cream
✅ Try: Frozen berries + drizzle of canned coconut milk
🧠 Why: Real food, no blood sugar crash, and tastes amazing

High Rep Low Load vs Low Rep High Load

There is nothing wrong with either option. What's important is the goal you're trying to achieve.

There are also other attribute of the 2 options. When the load is low and reps high, you'll be able to understand and get better at that specific movement better and under lesser stress

First: Your body needs cortisol and other stress hormones… but in the right amounts.
They help you wake up with energy, focus throughout the day, and support fat metabolism…
But when those levels stay high ALL day from too much stress, not enough sleep, or skipping meals, it can lead to struggle – ex. "fatigue, anxiety, cravings, and poor sleep.
These 3 habits help you take back control:
✅ Eat a balanced breakfast within 60 minutes of waking up
✅ Get natural light in your eyes within the first hour
✅ Take some breaks to breathe and relax
You might not be able to control everything that happens during your day,
but your daily habits have a powerful impact on your hormones.
