It’s one of the most common questions we hear.

The truth is, many of our senior clients started with little to no gym experience. Some came in with concerns about knee pain, balance, mobility, or simply feeling weaker than they used to.

At Homeground AMK, every senior begins with an assessment so we can understand their fitness level, movement patterns, goals, and any existing medical conditions. From there, we create a programme tailored specifically to them.

Bet your mother can’t flip a 60kg tyre as many times as our lovely PT client does 👀

A little snippet of what training with Coach Kenneth looks like: pushing you to become stronger, while still respecting your current ability, comfort level, and pace.

Client L has been training with Kenneth for a while now, and the progress has been incredible! More confidence, better strength, and now completing 60kg tyre flips.

Not once.
Not twice.
But 8 reps, for 3 sets. 💪

Tyre flips are not just “hardcore” for the sake of it. They train the whole body. Legs, hips, core, back, shoulders, grip, and coordination all working together. For older adults, this kind of functional strength matters because it carries over into everyday life: standing up stronger, carrying things more confidently, moving with better balance, and staying independent for longer.

Strength training has no age limit.
It just needs to be coached properly.
