HONG KONG, CHINA – Carrom, one of the Development Disciplines of the Asian Mind Sports Association (AMSA), was featured at the AMSA Mind Sports Festival & Conference at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong, bringing together players, officials and enthusiasts from across Asia through live demonstrations, technology showcases and community engagement activities.
The Carrom programme was organized with the support of the Singapore Carrom Association, reflecting the growing regional cooperation behind the development of the sport in Asia.
A major highlight of the festival was the participation of the three-time world champion Prahanth More, who took part in a series of exhibition activities broadcast live to Carrom enthusiasts around the world. Demonstration matches were conducted throughout the event, with players explaining the rules, techniques and strategic aspects of the game in real time, providing audiences with a unique insight into high-level Carrom competition.
The programme welcomed representatives and participants from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the Republic of Korea, alongside local enthusiasts from Hong Kong and members of the Carrom community from the Maldives. The gathering provided an opportunity for exchanges on athlete development, event organization and the future growth of Carrom across the region.
The festival also featured demonstrations of Carrom live-streaming technology and digital competition management systems, highlighting how innovation can support tournament operations, athlete engagement and global outreach.
As a Development Discipline under AMSA, Carrom continues to expand its presence across Asia. The Hong Kong festival served as an important platform to introduce the sport to new audiences, strengthen regional partnerships and showcase its potential for future growth.
