Recently, a lot of queries about F1 bottom brackets have popped up.
So here's some Q&A
Q. Are our bottom brackets and bearings used by Pro teams?
A. Yes, but F1Ceramic do not specifically say which team and we do not see a reason to do so because we know we are good and we let our products do the talking.
Q. Are your bottom brackets direct fit?
A. Yes! Most of the misconception comes when people think our bottom brackets need cone adaptors. This is particularly true when it comes to the BB30, OSBB, PF30, BBright. All these mentioned BBs sold by us are direct fit either to the Shimano Crank or GXP Crank. What does this mean? Say bye bye to cone adaptors, direct smooth spinning feel to the bottom bracket, increased longevity of the bottom bracket, all these resulting in better efficiency! Our BB30, PF30, OSBB are further threaded, this increases strength to the bottom bracket, resulting in elimination of creaking bottom brackets.
Q. What sets you from competition?
A. Based on market survey, we know that some of the competition buys ceramic bearings off the shelves. We offer coated and uncoated ball bearings. We know we are offering both at competitive prices in respective categories. We offer Grade 3 ABEC 5 ball bearings. Grade 3 is the best there is and ABEC 5 is already exceptional for cycling purposes. We then went on to spec a 52100 high carbon chrome race built to our tolerances to match with our ball bearings. After all, what's the point of building the best ball bearings but match them to a sub par race. Yes, anyone can make a Grade 3 ball but not everyone can make one that is durable. Further to this our grade 3 balls are round to 3 millionth of an inch and make completely of silicon nitride(full ceramic balls). Competiting ceramic balls are usually grade 10.
Q. Now that makes you sound very arrogant, aren't you?
A. Well, the difference between arrogance and confidence is performance. And while arrogance requires advertising, confidence speaks for itself. This is why we do not advertise ourselves very much.
