A first for AustCham — racing as a club at the Singapore IVF Va'a World Sprint Championships 2026 🔥.
This one's a milestone. For the first time ever, AustCham Paddle Club lined up as a club across multiple categories at the International Va'a Federation World Sprints, all repping the club and nation proudly on home turf.
Getting here took months of early mornings and long weekends on the water. For many of our paddlers, that training block was double duty, juggling prep for both IVF World Sprints and the IDBF Club Crew World Championships in Hualien at the same time. That kind of dedication doesn't go unnoticed.
Racing alongside, and against, some of the greatest Va'a paddlers in the world was humbling in the best way. And getting to do it at home, in front of our own community, made it even more surreal.
None of this happens without the crew behind the crew either, which includes the local OC ohana and our teammates who volunteered their time, some of them daily, making sure everything ran smoothly so the rest of us could focus on the water.
Thank you to everyone who trained, showed up, and supported us through this journey.
