A conversation that started in Singapore is now being heard across the region.

This week, South China Morning Post featured MenToo and the men choosing to speak openly about what they carry.

One of them, Amir Khan, put it better than we could: "I realised that strength actually means having the courage to ask for help when you're not at your best. And I think that's what the MenToo movement teaches men to do."

That's the whole idea. Strength isn't going it alone. It's knowing when to reach out.
To everyone helping these conversations grow: this is your story being heard too.

Just this Friday, we sat in on something quietly moving. Fathers and their children, building side by side in a hands-on workshop. The real thing being built, though, was attention. The kind that says I see you, and I'm here.

That's the thing about fathers.

You are more important than you know. More appreciated than you know. The impact you make rarely announces itself, but it lasts.

And the research agrees. Across decades of studies, children with engaged, warm fathers show stronger emotional and social development, and better academic outcomes too. One recent finding even suggests this effect is felt most strongly among children here in Asia.

So to every father reading this: we believe in you, we honour you, and we respect you. Today and every day, we're cheering you on.

Happy Father's Day.

Something is shifting in how Singapore talks about men.

Last week, The Straits Times ran a piece on abused husbands, men rarely recognised as victims, and even more rarely believed. This week, The Business Times published a thoughtful piece on Singapore men, and on the launch of MenToo.

Two papers, in a single week. A conversation that has been waiting is starting to find its voice.

One question from the BT piece has stayed with us, from Brian Liu of Bros Before Woes: maybe the real question isn't whether Singapore men are oppressed, but what kind of men Singapore produces.

That moves the conversation past pity or competition, and onto something we can shape: the systems, expectations, and silences that form how men learn to live, love, and ask for help.

This is what MenToo was built for, alongside Bros Before Woes and the 11 other groups who signed the charter on 6 June. It's also why we've partnered with Murdoch University for five years to conduct research on topics related to men, so that what we build for men rests on evidence, and reaches them in ways that actually work.

Thanks to both papers for treating this seriously, and to every group showing up to do the work. Bros Before Woes, Centre For Fathering, Real Men Co, The Ordinary Dad, Forum On The Richness Of Manhood, Men-Kind, The Fireside Circle, Alpha X, Anchored Men, SG Dads and The Man Club.

To every group, every man, and everyone who showed up: thank you. To Eric Chua, thank you for being here. The charter is signed. Now the real work begins.

Why MenToo? 3 reasons.

1. Men experience distinct biological, psychological, and social realities.
2. These realities are too often under-researched, misunderstood, or oversimplified.
3. Supporting men well strengthens families, children, and society as a whole.

MenToo exists to change that, together. 6 June, Timbre+ One North.

This 6 June, we launch MenToo.

MenToo is a research-informed movement and think-tank dedicated to the mental health, relational wellbeing, and life outcomes of men, as individuals, husbands, fathers, and members of their communities.

We started MenToo for a simple reason. Men's realities are too often under-researched, misunderstood, or oversimplified, and support that genuinely reaches men strengthens families, children, and society as a whole.

Founded by Amicus and launched together with the men's community group Bros Before Woes , MenToo brings men's groups across Singapore into one shared effort: to be a steady, united voice for men, and to make it easier for men to seek help and support one another.

The launch also marks new research collaborations with Murdoch University on men's issues, so that what we advocate is grounded in evidence, not assumption.

We are honoured to welcome Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Law and for Social and Family Development, as our Guest of Honour.

This is more than a conversation. It is the beginning of a community. Join us on 6 June at Timbre+ One North.

Divorce may change many things.

But your child still needs their father.

They still need:
❤️ your reassurance,
❤️ your consistency,
❤️ your wisdom,
❤️ your time,
❤️ your love.

Do not underestimate the lifelong impact of remaining emotionally present.

🟢 Even when the process is painful.
🟢 Even when co-parenting is difficult.
🟢 Even when rebuilding feels exhausting.

Stay..
💪🏼 Steady,
💪🏼 Involved, and constantly,
💪🏼 Growing.

Your children are watching how you navigate adversity.

And one of the greatest gifts you can give them is this:

🎉 A father who stayed. 🎊
