Located near the starting of the 15 km long East Coast Park, BIG Splash is the ideal location for a sport event, and therefore throughout the years, events such as Aviva Ironmen, Terry Fox Run, POSB Kids Run and Newton Run had been making Big Splash their event venue. Running groups such as Team FatBird had too made use of the venue as their starting and ending point for their training. The manage

ment team of Big Splash, in view of the new tagline “Good Lifestyle Starts HERE!” decides to form the Big Splash Running Club in the year 2012.The club is helmed by the head volunteer trainer David Shum, who is both a seasoned marathon runner and a licensed and qualified coach. Together with him, Big Splash running Club promised to deliver a wholesome running experience for its members. This will not be a ‘pay and run’ club, at Big Splash Running Club, we would want to focus on both the mental and physical of the runners both pre and post races/sports/events. The trainers will take in the point of your running posture and correct you on the way you run to better enhance your performance. With our partners, special talks and roadshows about sports preparation by specialists will be incorporated into the training programs to better prepare our members for running/sport events. Big Splash running club had garner a first in Singapore when it got Great Eastern to come on board as official insurance partner for the members during the training. This is the only sport club in Singapore that have a insurance covers for it members during training.
