parkrun Singapore parkruns are 5km events that take place every weekend, at locations all around the world, where peopl There are no winners at parkrun and nobody comes last.

The best-kept secret about parkrun is that it’s not about running - it’s about bringing people together in public parks and open spaces to have some fun in a friendly, social and supportive environment. You can walk or run the 5k course (pushing a pram or with one dog on a short lead if you want to!), lend a helping hand as a volunteer in a wide range of super-easy roles, or simply spectate and so

cialise on the sidelines. Regular participation is rewarded rather than performance, with free ‘parkrun milestone shirts’ awarded to people to recognise their achievements in coming along. parkrun is whatever you want it to be, whenever you want to take part. Most parkruns finish with a social gathering at a coffee shop or community centre and everyone is invited to come along for refreshments and a chat. Ever wondered what it’s like to volunteer at parkrun as a Timekeeper? ⏱️✨

As a Timekeeper, you’re right in the heart of the action, clicking participants across the line and helping ensure everyone gets an accurate result. You’ll have a front-row seat to sprint finishes, PB celebrations, first-time parkrunners crossing the line, and plenty of smiles and thank-yous along the way 💜

All you need is a phone with the Virtual Volunteer app, a quick tap for each finisher, and a little concentration. That’s it!

It’s a fantastic role for volunteers who enjoy being part of the finish-line buzz and want to see parkrun from a completely different perspective. Don’t worry if you’ve never done it before — full training is provided, and there’s always a second Timekeeper alongside you for support.

Volunteering is what makes parkrun happen every single week, and Timekeeping is a brilliant way to participate with our amazing community.
