Gentle reminder to kids/teens who don't understand the dangers of single gear bike which have no brakes on the handlebars. If you consider yourself a novice, not proficient cyclist, please DON'T ride this! Riders typically skid the bike to slow and stop these bikes, amongst other methods. However, it can be very dangerous if one doesn't know how to handle, don't cave in to peer pressure from friends if you're not confident. It's ok to say "No"! Keep riding, stay safe!

No doubt teaching adults is tough but not impossible. Min is an undergraduate and friends tease her for not being able to ride. They taught her many times, resulting in more falls than fun. So we reset her biking experience and despite her non-athletic background and fear, she succeeded in 1hr 7min. I'm sooo proud of her. Now she can go biking with her NUS friends and family members. What a joy! Never give up learning a life skill.

Many adults can't ride a bike and too shy to say so. It's never too late and never be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. Here, D, 43 years old mother of 2, rides a bike for the 1st time in her life. Not as agile as a child and more challenging learning as an adult but one's determination will see you through. Now you don't have to look after the bags anymore, go cycling with your kids and husband.

With determination and desire, 9yo Elizabeth succeeded in riding. All was good in the beginning and as we progressed, she thought she could help with leaning her body and bum. This is the most serious problem of learning to ride. Unless you're riding MotoGP, leaning will cause you alot of issues. Glad that she finally overcame those bad habits and achieved her goals. Yay! Go shopping for your dream bike.
