It was a pleasure conducting this On-Scene Commander course for these young enthusiastic gentlemen charged with the responsibilities of leading company emergency response team (CERT) members to mitigate emergencies in their Petroleum Gas operation in southern Vietnam. Our Industrial Pre-Incident Planning concept and the use of miniature petroleum process models were unique features of the training. This was prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. With the new normal going forward, we are moving on to on-line training programmes. A key feature in the on-line training will be Video Simulation covering both potential scenarios and response & mitigation action.s
