Most aero bikes are fast in a wind tunnel. This one was designed for the wind you actually get.

Rather than chase a headline number at a single wind angle, Orbea developed the 2027 Orca Aero around 5–20° yaw — the crosswind angles that dominate real riding. Which is a fairly precise description of Changi Coast Road with a sea breeze coming off the strait.

The fork is profiled to align with the downtube so airflow transitions smoothly as the yaw changes. The downtube is slightly wider to manage air across the frame's biggest surface. The bottom bracket keel does real aerodynamic work. The Di2 battery moved low so the seat tube and post could get slimmer.

CFD-developed, wind-tunnel validated, then measured again with riders holding fixed speeds in a velodrome. 21W says it worked.

Squidlock gives you a dropper post and three shock lockout positions from one remote — and behind it, the patented i-Line system runs the rear shock lockout cable in a perfectly straight internal path. No bends, no friction, no vague lever feel three months into the wet season.

It's the sort of detail you don't notice on the shop floor and appreciate every single lap.

Also on the 2027 Oiz: an 8-piece multitool integrated under the top tube, dual bottle mounts on every size, a pivotless flexstay rear triangle and fully sealed bearings. Given what our humidity does to a bike, that last one matters here more than it does in Europe.

Comfort on gravel isn't softness. It's the difference between finishing strong and limping home.

The Terra builds compliance into the frame rather than leaving your tyres to save you. A shorter seat tube with a slightly relaxed angle lets the 27.2mm post flex properly. A slim top tube and strategic cutouts in the fork and chainstays soak up vibration before it reaches you. The OMR layup is tuned specifically for gravel — strong enough for rough ground, compliant enough to keep you fresh over the distance.

And because our weather has opinions: fender mounts front and rear on every model, clearance for mud, and internal routing that keeps grit out of the cables.

Orbea built the Orca backwards, and that's the whole point.

It's easy to make a very light bike. It's much harder to make one that doesn't waste your power in frame flex — so instead of chasing the lowest possible number and accepting whatever stiffness fell out of it, Orbea set the target rigidity first, then removed every gram they could without touching it.

The Powerspine — head tube, down tube, chainstays — carries the twisting and lateral loads and turns your effort into forward motion. The carbon layup changes for every frame size, so an XL feels exactly like an S. That's a lot more work at the factory. You notice it on the road.

OMX at 745g or OMR at 1030g. Twelve builds from $4,589 SGD, framesets from $3,299.

Once you've experienced what the Ordu does well, it's difficult to feel confident on a lesser machine.

Just as triathlon is a competition of multiple disciplines, the 2027 Orbea Ordu is a blend of four: aerodynamics, weight, handling and ergonomics — developed together, not bolted on afterwards.

Over 2,500 hours of aerodynamic calculation, with the frame, fork and cockpit analysed as one assembly rather than three separate parts. OMX carbon, the same grade as the Orca and Orca Aero. A UCI-legal fork. And a cockpit that adjusts further than anything else out there.

The 2027 Orbea Rallon is a bike built around control. A low centre of gravity from the GravityLink rocker keeps it planted at race speed. Supple, progressive suspension chases traction and opens up lines other bikes skip past. Developed on the race track with Damien Oton.

Speed built layer by layer: 900g OMX frame. 93 Nm° of global stiffness, up 27.5% on stiffness-to-weight. 37mm of tyre clearance, at the upper limit of UCI race-legal road design. And the whole thing engineered around the OQUO RA57 LTD wheel so the frame and front wheel behave like one surface instead of two parts.

Are you ready for takeoff?

The 2027 Orbea Oiz is here, and the headline number is 36%. That's how much global frame stiffness has gone up — which on a modern XC circuit means watts saved on the climbs, a line you can actually hold on the descents, and suspension that stays sensitive when the frame stops twisting under it.

120mm front and rear. 1700g for a painted size M frame with the shock. The lightest Oiz frame Orbea has ever built.
