Italian brands Columbus Bicycle Tubes and CINELLI possess a cult status of their own: the former manufactures bicycle tubings in steel, alloy and more recently, carbon while the latter is known for their stems, handlebars and frames. Even today, many frame builders still utilise Columbus tubings to make custom and bespoke bicycle frames and Cinelli is closely associated with the recent rise of fixed gear bikes with the Cinelli-MASH moniker.

We had the rare opportunity to speak to the man behind these two brands, Mr Antonio Colombo, the President of Gruppo SRL, the company which oversees the Cinelli and Columbus brands.
