Many thanks to Mr. Mike Tan, 1817 Bike Nation is honor to have our Laux Jack brands of mountain bikes on display/sales in Egg3 LLP at 112 Katong (112 East Coast Road -08 Singapore 428802) Yes, 112 Katong is famous for it's wide variety of cuisines, one will be spoiled by it's choices !

EGG3 lifestyle concept store encapsulate a bazaar of exquisite merchandise ranging from home decor to fashion and gift accessories, curated from all around the world. One could never got bored with Mike's collection, i m fascinated with their Modern Contemporary range of merchandises, Mike told me they have thousands of SKU alone in their HAUS Of Egg3 store ! Welcome to to 1817 Bike Nation first FB posting.

Why 1817 you may ask.

Well, it was recorded as being the year DRAISINE was invented, it is also termed as the Laufmaschine ("running machine"). The Laufmaschine was invented by the German Baron Karl von Drais in Mannheim in 1817. Being the first means of transportation to make use of the two-wheeler principle, the Laufmaschine is regarded as the archetype of the bicycle

That is the reason we have incorporated 1817 into our company's name. Not only to pay homage to Karl Von Drias, but also to the history and industry of bicycles as a whole.

***The attached photo is a Draisine that was built (estimated 1820) with cherry tree wood and softwood. It is displayed at the Kurpfälzisches Museum in Heidelberg, Germany. (photo and information collected from the famous : Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
