Peter Gilchrist claimed victory at the 2026 PABSA Pan Am Cup in Winnipeg, Canada, defeating India’s Dhruv Sitwala 1,500–972 in the final.
The victory marked Gilchrist’s second ranking-event title of the week, following his success at the 2026 Vimy Ridge Classic, which was also held at the same venue.
Gilchrist enjoyed a dominant run throughout the tournament, recording four convincing victories over Canadian opponents.
His standout performance came against Kevin Augusta, where he produced the tournament’s highest break of 596. He followed that with a commanding 500–51 victory over Timothy Fulcher in the last 16.
In the quarter-finals, Gilchrist faced former Queensland Open champion Karthik Ramaswamy, but once again proved too strong, cruising to an 800–185 win. He then secured his place in the final with another impressive performance against England’s Ryan Mears, winning 1,002–188.
Standing between Gilchrist and another title was India’s Dhruv Sitwala, who had reached the final after defeating world number three Robert Hall 1,002–525 in the semi-finals.
However, Gilchrist maintained his outstanding form in the title match. He compiled breaks of 207, 239, 208, and an unfinished 214 to seal a 1,500–972 victory and claim his second ranking title of the week.
