Behind every medal was a moment worth remembering. 🥋✨

Not every victory happened on the podium.

Some happened in the warm-up area, where nerves turned into courage.
Some happened between teammates cheering each other on.
Some happened when a coach said, "You've got this."
And some happened in the smiles shared after giving it everything on the mats.

These are the moments that remind us why we compete—not just to win medals, but to grow, learn, and become stronger together.

60 over medals. 60 stories of perserverance.
But honestly? The medal count doesn't tell the full story.

What it doesn't show is the nervous energy before stepping onto the mats for the very first time. The deep breaths. The butterflies. The moment our young warriors chose to walk out there anyway - some of them competing for the first time ever.

It doesn't show the months of training that came before this weekend. The early mornings. The repeated drills. The bruises, the frustrations, the "I can't do this" moments that turned into "I just did."

It doesn't show the parents who drove, waited, cheered, and held their breath from the stands. The coaches who believed in these kids before they believed in themselves.

What it DOES show is this: Young athletes walked onto the competition mats at the Taekwondo Grand Slam Youth League 2026 and came back changed. Whether it was gold, silver, or bronze - every single one of them achieved something bigger than a medal today. They achieved more than they already had. They pushed past fear. They represented KTMA with heart.

To our first-time competitors: we are so, so proud of you. That first step onto the mats? That takes more courage than most people will ever know. You did it.

To our returning competitors: you showed what it means to keep growing. Every competition is a new challenge and you rose to it.

To every parent, coach, and supporter who made this possible: thank you. This is your moment too.

That’s a wrap! 🥋❤️

Months of training… countless kicks, patterns, corrections, sweat, laughter (and maybe a few nervous moments 😆)… and today, you all stepped onto the mat and gave it your best.

No matter what the results are, we’re already incredibly proud of every single one of you. It takes courage to stand in front of the examiners, and every student who graded today has already achieved something special.

Now… we wait. 🤞

To all our grading students from Katong, Yishun, Bukit Timah, Novena & NEWest, thank you for trusting us, training hard, and never giving up. Your coaches have seen how much you’ve grown, not just in Taekwondo, but in confidence, discipline and character too.

Good luck while we wait for the results! 🍀 We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you soon.
