A few really special days in the studio with Ms Layna Chan in preparation of the upcoming ballet exams; working on refining our work on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, from Grade 1 all the way through to Solo Seal.

So grateful for her eye for detail, the little corrections and clear directions that make all the difference. Thank you Ms Chan! 🤍

We are pleased to welcome Ms Layna Chan, RAD Examiner, to Barreworks Ballet for a series of specially arranged exam-focused coaching sessions.

Offering our students the opportunity to learn from an examiner’s perspective is part of our continued commitment to thoughtful, intentional training, and to supporting our students with as much guidance as possible as they prepare for the upcoming examination season.

This is an invaluable opportunity for students to gain insight, refine their work, and approach their examinations with clarity and assurance.

These sessions are only open to Barreworks Ballet students. If you have yet to register for these classes, please contact us.

We look forward to a meaningful and productive time in the studio.

A little note from Ms Lin.

I started Barreworks at Old Holland Road 9 years ago with just one simple goal — to give the girls I was coaching a warm ballet home where they could grow, dream, and have a safe space to push their boundaries.

These (now) bare walls hold in its memories tiny pliés, big dreams, boundless laughter, tears, and so much love. This Old Holland Road studio shaped me just as much as it shaped our dancers and I would not have done this any other way.

As we close this chapter, my heart is full — grateful for every step taken here, and excited for the new home we’re building together.

As the saying goes, “when one door closes, another opens”. Here’s to beautiful new beginnings and many more treasured memories to come. Happy New Year. 2026, let’s go! 🤍🩰
