SSDA Sidemounter Scuba Diver Asia SSDA is Eva Kucich's brand in helping you to become a role model diver through scubadiving sidemount Nothing like that. Let's “dismount" those presumptions.

Sidemount is a scuba diving equipment configuration which has scuba sets mounted alongside the diver, below the shoulders and along the hips, instead of on the back of the diver. Many fear that sidemount diving is odd, unbalanced, complicated, involves additional gear and is over-technical. First to say is that sidemount diving is tailored for a Recreational Diver and it is the most versatile way

of diving which makes hovering and trimming effortlessly. I teach the Sidemount as Unique, Mobile and Light. The Unique means diving side mount is even more unique than a traditional side mount with no investment in custom regulators (use what you already have or use what is available for rent). Mobile means being able to dive sidemount anywhere you go for diving by carrying only your side mount harness which leads you to the Light. Light means that you can pack your gear with all other stuff for a weekend getaway in a backpack. Intriguing? Yes, it is possible. I'm teaching open water recreational divers the Sidemount course straight away after they finish their entry-level scuba diving certification. Presumingly you are not a scuba diver yet and if you would like to become one, first I teach you and certify your entry-level scuba diving certification. Afterwards, you would go for the Sidemount speciality, straight away, and stand out from the scuba diving crowd from the beginning of your scuba diving journey. Later on, any advanced scuba diving certifications you would do as a Sidemounter. If you already are a recreational diver and would like to be certified as a Sidemount diver? Not a problem. Just sign in for the course with me. We typically organise courses “one on one” with the instructor. However, if you prefer to take a course with your buddies or family, then we make a group of up to four students. We welcome you to join Sidemounter UML unique community.

Great memories from the trip to the northern Red Sea for wreck diving. January is low season so it is quite cold & windy on the surface, but sunshine makes it for it. Great bunch of people on the boat, and fantastic visibility, and I had most of the wrecks for myself for at least the last 10min of the dive, which would be impossible if I were doing the same trip in July. :) Happy 2023 to all.
