๐ Shoutout to our little swimming champ, Daryn! ๐
Daryn joined us when he was just 4 years old โ and last month, at 7 years old, he achieved his SwimSafer Stage 3 certification! ๐ Isnโt that amazing?
We often hear from parents:
โ โWhat if my child doesnโt like it after the first lesson?โ
โ โWhat if they cry?โ
โ โWhat if they donโt want to go into the pool?"
โ โWhat if I waste my money?โ
Hereโs the truth โ having doubts before even starting can hold both you and your child back. Every child needs time to adapt to a new environment, a new coach, and new skills. Itโs completely normal for them to be unsure at first. But with patience, encouragement, and consistency, youโll be amazed at how quickly they grow in confidence.
Think about it : when your child first goes to childcare or kindergarten, you donโt pull them out the moment they cry. You encourage them, you comfort them, and you give them time to adapt โ because you know thatโs how growth happens. Swimming is no different :)
The first step is always the hardest โ not for the child, but for the parent. But with consistent support, your child can develop confidence and thrive โ just like Daryn, he started with us at just 4 years old, and today, at only 7 years old, heโs already in Stage 3. Do you still think your child is โtoo youngโ to start?
Darynโs parents didnโt let fear stop them. They knew that learning to swim is a life skill, not just an activity. They encouraged him, supported him, and stayed consistent. And today, their little boy isnโt just confident in the water โ heโs thriving!
So parents, if youโve been on the fence, take that first step.
Just like Daryn, your child might just surprise you โ and make you proud. ๐
