With the release of the drama episodes, here are the filming highlights from our Alps coach, Hui Li! 🎬🏓 Hui Li makes a special cameo appearance as “Kim,” the opponent against one of the main characters, Wang Xinyue (Denise Fong), in the Mediacorp drama Last But Not Least, 《迷茫又无惧的我们》.
Reflecting on her experience, Hui Li shared: “Being my first time being on set for a television show, it was truly an exciting an eye opening experience for me! What really surprised me was just how much effort goes on behind the scenes, where this short three-minute scene actually took an entire day to film! It definitely deepened my respect for the experts in another industry besides my own and the film industry itself, to create the art, shows, and music that we love.
I had so much fun on set sharing my creative direction for certain shots with the director, Peiyu, who was incredibly dedicated and sweet. She even came down to our Alps training hall before filming to watch me coach to better understand table tennis and capture the sport more authentically on screen.
In preparation for filming, I taught Denise, who was very humble and eager to learn, some table tennis basics at Mediacorp to help her feel more comfortable on screen.Many of the scenes were done together with my friend Hannah, Denise’s body double, whom many of the shots wouldn’t have been possible without!
Overall, it was such a meaningful and memorable experience, and I truly loved every part of it. More than anything, I’m grateful to be able to represent not just Alps Table Tennis Academy, but also an ambassador of a sport that I love very much on the big screen. :)”
