Congratulations to Aqif, Hidayat, Heba, Kushvin, and Mark on being shortlisted for the National Wrestling Squad following the WFS National Open & Team Trials 2026!

For Heba, Kushvin, and Mark — continued recognition of the consistency they’ve shown year after year.

For Aqif and Hidayat — a first national squad invitation, and a reflection of the work they’ve quietly put in.

To the rest of our competitors who stepped on the mat, every competition is experience, and this is just one point on a longer journey. Keep building.

Trials done. Good work to everyone who competed and to the team for showing up during the practice sessions leading up to this.

Wrestling is both an individual sport and a team sport. When one person gets better, the whole team gets better. Everyone pulls each other up. That’s what this is about.

The job’s not done yet. Rest well, and we’ll keep fine tuning. Till the next one — onwards and upwards.

Day 1 done at the WFS National Open & Team Trials. The improvement Aqif and Sean have shown since their interclub last December has been something to watch. The work they’ve been putting in is starting to show. Proud of both of them.
