A mother-daughter team, established Praya Dance, an Indian classical dance academy in Singapore that uses the ageless art of Kathak to combine passion, heritage, and unity. • Prerna Datta is a Kathak dancer with a vibrant and energetic stage presence that leaves a striking impression on her audience.
• Prerna has trained under the Banaras Gharana of Kathak since the age of 17,under the tutelage of
renowned Kathak exponent, Guru Rajendra Chaturvedi,at Padma Shri Gopi Krishna’s dance academy Nateshwar Nritya Kala Mandir in Mumbai.
• She is now training under Guru Mulla Afsar Khan,at Singapore Indian Fine Arts Association, Singapore.
• She has regularly attendant workshops conducted by stalwarts such as Smt Sitara Devi, Pt Birju Maharaj,Pt Rajendra Gangani. Education

Besides being a performer, Prerna is a very passionate teacher, and has been imparting training in Kathak to young children and adults since many years. After assisting her Guru at Nateshwar Bhavan, Mumbai for 5 years,
Prerna has moved base to Singapore on 2016,where she is now persuing her passion under the guidance of Guru Mulla Afsar Khan at Singapore Fine Arts Association.
