FAS Extraordinary Congress 2025 ⚽️

X-League, an affiliate member of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), was in attendance at the recent FAS Extraordinary Congress 2025, where a new FAS Council was confirmed, with Forrest Li leading the charge.

Back in 2009, I had the privilege of working alongside Forrest at the World Cyber Games in Singapore, where I served as a PR consultant for Garena under XPR. After 16 years, it was a pleasure to reconnect and share some light-hearted moments, reminiscing about the good old days through some old photos.

Heartfelt thanks to outgoing President Mr. Bernard Tan and the previous council members for their dedication and contributions to the sport. Looking ahead to a new chapter, I wish Forrest and the new team all the best as they work to shape the future of football in Singapore.

🏆🎉 Hosted at the iconic Café Football, partially owned by football legends Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, the Awards Night brought our football-loving community together for a celebration like no other.

The evening was a perfect blend of camaraderie, laughter, and amazing food. Café Football’s menu, inspired by the beautiful game, added to the excitement and made every bite as memorable as the season itself. ⚽🍽

X-Cup 2024/25 Match Highlights - RTSBF v Fajar Youngsters

In Round 1 of the X-Cup 2024/25, powered by Agent Azhar Sulaiman, Division 3 Champions Fajar Youngsters pulled off the first giant-killing act of the tournament, dramatically edging out a highly fancied RTSBFC side 4-3. A last-minute strike from Khairuddin Sharif sealed their place in the next round in a match that will be talked about for weeks.

The X-League was in attendance at the Unleash The Roar Football Conversation 2024, where over 200 passionate stakeholders gathered to discuss the future of Singapore football. It was truly inspiring to witness the commitment from every corner of the community—players, coaches, parents, and industry leaders—united by a shared vision of elevating the local game to new heights.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with so many familiar faces. We also had the opportunity to introduce the X-League to both Edwin Tong (Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law) and Mr. Alan Goh, CEO of SportSG. Their support for grassroots football and sustainable development was truly motivating.

The Unleash The Roar project is a bold vision for long-term growth, centered on building talent from the ground up and creating pathways for youth to thrive. The energy in the room was electric, with everyone contributing ideas and solutions, all driven by a common goal: to see Singapore football grow stronger.

Let’s continue to rally behind this incredible initiative, supporting local talent and building a brighter future for the sport we love. Together, we can make a difference. 💪⚽
