done 25 km/h. That's the hard cap for e-bikes in Singapore. Go over—or modify your bike—and you're looking at fines up to $10,000. ⚡🚲
What happens if you get caught:
First offence: up to $10,000 fine or 6 months jail
Repeat offence: up to $20,000 or 12 months jail
Bike gets impounded
LTA can now test your bike's top speed while it's stationary at a checkpoint. No need to catch you speeding.
Bottom line: Buy LTA-approved (look for the Orange Tag + EN15194). Don't modify. Stay legal.
