We are honoured and excited to announce a very special Kendo Seminar in Singapore on 7 & 8 November 2026, organised by our dojo and supported by Singapore Kendo Club!

This seminar will feature two highly distinguished Japanese Kendo instructors:

Kamei Toru Sensei
Kendo Hanshi 8 Dan

Kamei Sensei is a highly accomplished Kendo practitioner with a distinguished competitive and teaching career. This will be Kamei sensei's third year in Singapore for this seminar!

Kamei sensei has represented Japan at the World Kendo Championships and has competed extensively at the highest level of Japanese Kendo, including numerous appearances at the All Japan Kendo 8-Dan Championship. He has also achieved a runner-up finish at the All Japan Kendo Championship and multiple successes in national police competitions.

Iwasa Hidenori Sensei
Kendo Kyoshi 8 Dan
Shihan, Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department

Iwasa Sensei is one of Japan's leading Kendo practitioners and instructors.
- Champion (2001), one 2nd place, and one 3rd place at the All Japan Kendo Championship
- Team victory at the National Police Championship,
- 2nd place Individual division at the World Kendo Championships
- 3 Time Champion at the Prince Tomohito 8th Dan Championship
- 3rd place All Japan Invitational 8th Dan Championship.

Katsuya sensei, Kendo 7 Dan and Tankendo 5 Dan visited our dojo twice over the past few days. We were connected with Katsuya sensei in Saga 2 years ago and he came to Singapore for a holiday and took his time to come practice with us at the dojo.

We were lucky not only to do Kendo and have sensei share with us about Kendo but Katsuya sensei also taught us the basics of Tankendo and also letting us try out jigeiko in Tankendo.

We all had a great time together with Keiko and Food 😊
