Which is better for fat loss? Run or Walk?
From a calorie standpoint, at first glance, running burns more calories (230kcal run compared to 170kcal walk) at the same 3km route.
However, as a beginner, you will most likely be unable to sustain 3km runs at the same pace daily due to muscle soreness. Brisk walking is therefore more beneficial as you can increase the distance too, without much muscle soreness the next day.
Aim for a pace lower than 11'30" while brisk walking for other fitness benefits.
Consistency is key to see results, 6 -7 walks weekly works well along with a nutritious eating routine.
