CDC Walking Trails (Woodlands) – Hidden Forest, Old Well & Lost Bunkers. Completed the CDC Walking Trails – Woodlands Edition 2026.

We explored a small forest pocket near Point 4 – Masjid An-Nur, where we saw:
βœ”οΈ A hidden old well
βœ”οΈ Abandoned structures tucked deep in the greenery
βœ”οΈ WD 12 - War Department, Marker 12
βœ”οΈ Quiet forest trails perfect for urban exploration

Unfortunately, the bunker previously located in this forest has been demolished, as confirmed by a local from the nearby CC.

Another hiking group visited the iconic Marsiling Tunnels, so we gave it a pass this round.

Most of the well-known Marsiling / Woodlands hidden attractions are now blocked or restricted due to large-scale construction works for the new immigration complex & train infrastructure.

These include:
- Atap Valley Bunker
- Robot Face Bunker
- Former View Road Hospital

Photos shared by friends, Thanks for attending this event! πŸ“ΈπŸ˜ Hike to Fort Serapong – Hidden WWII Ruins & Highest Point of Sentosa. Revisited the former Serapong Chapel, likely the largest abandoned hall in the area. The small side room in the corner is believed to have been used by the priest to change robes before service.

At the summit, we explored the largest Blue Bunker, sitting at what is likely the highest point of Sentosa (~90m above sea level). Another bunker, now engulfed by a massive banyan tree, has become a unique and photogenic hidden spot.

We took a relaxing break with snacks at Cement Hill, enjoying beautiful sea views and clear skies. Along the way, we met two other groups exploring the area, a few friends ventured deeper into the tunnels and ruins of Fort Serapong.

We also traced an interesting route from the Serapong Underground Reservoir to the Blue Hut (likely an old water pump room), following a network of historic pipes β€” a reminder of the fort’s hidden infrastructure.

When heavy rain rolled in, we cut short the exploration and head over to nearby Fort Connaught.

Key highlights at Fort Connaught:
- Battery Observation Tower
- Underground Ammunition Magazine
- Remains of the #3 Main Gun foundation

These historic forts were part of the British coastal defence network protecting Keppel Harbour from the 1880s through World War II β€” a hidden chapter of Singapore’s military history now reclaimed by nature.

Overcoming your own inertia, and let your inner light, clarity, and joy shine through! Happy Diwali, everyone! πŸ₯°πŸ™

Diwali is a symbol of beating inertia, because inertia is the source of narak, or hell. Once inertia sets in, you will not go to hell – you will be hell.

This is about the nature of the festival, but the important aspect is to beat the inertia. Life is a play of time and energy. You have a certain amount of time and a certain amount of energy. Time passes whether you are busy or lazy, whether you are healthy or sick. For all of us, time is rolling at the same pace. No one can slow it down; no one can hasten it.

But your experience of time differs depending on whether you are joyful or miserable. If you are ecstatic, twenty-four hours will seem to pass like a moment. If you are depressed, twenty-four hours will seem like an eon for you.

When people are joyful, they do not have time for entertainment. Joy will take up all your time. You wake up in the morning, and before you even notice, it is already night. When you are joyful, you will do everything you can. When you are miserable, you will always see how to avoid everything.
