A beautiful Lenok Trout from Mongolia landed by FengYong Ye on the TOUGHFIA BARRA JERK 90SP MD.

Fast-running rivers can make it difficult for a lure to stay stable and work, but the BARRA JERK 90SP MD maintained its action well in the current.

That stable swimming action proved to be the right presentation, resulting in this solid Lenok Trout.

Keeping each cast tight to the structure where the outgoing current was pushing through, Jacky Poh sent the TOUGHFIA Snakehead Pencil 110F right into the zone.

Its rear-weighted design gave him the distance and accuracy needed to place the lure along the structure, while each walk-the-dog sweep and pause kept it working naturally across the surface. The internal ball bearing added loud knocks and surface disturbance, helping draw attention in the moving water.

Even with the current running, the Snakehead Pencil 110F remained easy to walk and control. By working it slowly between the structure and holding it in place with deliberate pauses, Jacky kept the lure right where the fish was waiting — enough to bring this solid barramundi up to investigate and commit on the pause.

Ken Teh spotted a Giant Snakehead rise out wide and first sent a topwater lure straight to the spot — but the fish just wouldn’t commit.

He then switched over to the TOUGHFIA BARRA JERK 90 MD, cast it past the same rise, and retrieved it back to get the lure down to the depth he wanted. A few hard twitches kept it suspending right in the strike zone — and that was all it took.

The Giant Snakehead committed hard, and the fish was on.

When topwater doesn’t get the reaction, change the presentation. The TOUGHFIA BARRA JERK 90 MD got the job done.
