Rajesh Nair to assume role as Chairman of Tanjong Pagar United FC

Club enters new chapter with change in leadership effective 1 July 2026

SINGAPORE, 1 June 2026 – Tanjong Pagar United Football Club today announced that Mr Rajesh Nair will assume the role of Chairman of the club with effect from 1 July 2026.

Rajesh is a co-founder and partner at Sports Dev Pte Ltd, which operates the Barça Academy in Singapore. He succeeds Mr Raymond Tang as Chairman of the club.

This leadership transition marks the beginning of an exciting new phase for the club, with a renewed focus on football development, supporter engagement and building a strong foundation for long-term success.

Incoming Chairman Rajesh Nair said:

“It is a great honour to be appointed Chairman of Tanjong Pagar United FC. I would like to thank Raymond for his service to the club and for his support during this transition. The club has played an important role in Singapore football for many years, and we are excited by the opportunities ahead.

This will be a team effort, and I am fortunate to be supported by the team at Sports Dev Pte Ltd, together with experienced football professionals and international business leaders. Together, we are committed to building a strong and sustainable club, bringing fresh ideas, renewed energy and a clear focus on our players, supporters, partners and the wider football community.”

Outgoing Chairman Raymond Tang said:

“It has been a privilege to serve as Chairman of Tanjong Pagar United FC. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our fans, sponsors, partners, players, staff and all our stakeholders who have supported the club through the years. Your loyalty and passion for the club have always meant a great deal to me and to everyone involved.

I wish Rajesh and the incoming team every success, and I am confident the club has an exciting future ahead.”
