Dear Parents and Students,
We are glad that the pandemic situation in Singapore is improving. For many of you who have been persistent with your training virutally during this Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) period - great job to all of you!
As we ease back to physical training in the school, please note the following measures that will be implemented to ensure that everyone can train in a safe environment:-
BEFORE TRAINING
- Mandatory TraceTogether check in by student/guardian via the app or token before entering the training ground.
- Temperature checks and hands sanitisation before entering the training ground. For students with a high temperature, we apologise that we would not be able to admit you for safety reasons.
- For students who are ill or showing signs of illness (e.g., fever, running nose, coughing, sore throat, etc), we apologise that we would not be able to admit you to ensure you are not pushing yourself when unwell and also in consideration to your training mates. Do rest at home and come for training only when you are well.
- Entry into the school is not allowed for non-students. On certain circumstances, parents/guardians may enter the premises a short period to settle any admin or billing needs. The above-mentioned safety measures will apply.
DURING TRAINING
- Students will be well spread out during lesson time. There will at least be 2m between each student.
- All non-essential contact between students/instructors (e.g., chatting during class) will be discouraged.
- Masks are encouraged to stay on during poomsae (pattern) classes. During the more strenuous part of the lesson, students may choose to remove their masks.
- For sparring classes, focus will be on technical work. There will be transient kicking and punching. There will also be the use of sparring equipment such as targets which will be wiped down after class. Students are encouraged to bring along their personal sparring equipment (e.g., head gear, arm and shin guards, mouth guard, chest protector, etc).
Once again, we would like to thank our students and parents for your utmost support during this trying period, and staying motivated to ensure that learning never stops!
If you have other feedback and questions, I will be glad to address them.
Regards,
Principal Yoon Daeung
