KenYuKai Karate Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Toshio Yamada Sensei of Ken Yu Kai Karate Association (Shotokan) based in Rome, Italy. Karatekas from KYKA shared many fond memories of Yamada Sensei during his visits to Singapore, where he enthusiastically shared his passion for karate, especially at the annual KYKA gasshuku.

KYKA sends its deepest condolences to Yamada Sensei's family and students all over Europe. We will miss Yamada Sensei, a close friend of over 40 years to Sensei Ishikawa and KYKA.

Our karatekas from NUS Karate and NTU Sh*toryu Karate Club Singapore performed excellently at the recent Inter-tertiary Polytechnic & ITE Karate Championship (ITKC 2022) on 23 Oct, organised by Karate-Do Union of Singapore.

NUS Karate emerged as overall champion, clinching 8x🥇, 7x🥈, and 7x🥉, while NTU Karate won 2x🥇, 3x🥈, and 1x🥉.

We thank all our coaches, judges, and volunteers who have helped make their participation a rousing success, and special thanks to NUS Karate in assisting KUS in hosting the competition.

Congratulations once again to all our competitors, and continue to train and grow from strength to strength, oss!

We are very proud of our competitors who competed at the recent Karate-Do Union of Singapore KUS National Kumite Competition 2022, many of them for the first time. We take pride not just in achievements gained, but in their courage and spirit to push themselves through the competition.

Congratulations once again to our competitors, and huge thank you the judges, referees, helpers, and KUS for making this competition possible.

Our member, Kenneth Goh, will be joining the team from Karate-Do Union of Singapore to participate in the 9th SEAKF Championship 2022.

Though the road has not been easy, we are grateful and very proud for this opportunity to represent Singapore at this event, which will be held in Cambodia from 21-27 Mar 2022.
