***CLIENT SPOTLIGHT***
Meet our (shy) client J in her late 40s who started Personal Training with us with the goal of "losing weight" (sound familiar?). Watch her hit a new personal best by deadlifting 50kg (she started with 8kg kettlebells). Read on to find out, in her own words, how she has progressed in her journey.

"I'm your typical professional in her 40s. Alot of time spent working, and "no time" for anything else. I started personal training with Seriesfitness because I woke up one day, fatigued with body aches like I had been for a while, saw that I was at my heaviest ever on the scale, just felt "bleah", and felt like I needed to do something about my health and fitness."

"I started with the goal of "losing weight" but I've gained so much more in my fitness journey. I did lose weight - 1.5 kg of body fat , and gained muscle. More importantly, I've gained functional strength and learnt alot more about what it means to get a good workout (hint: it's not just about running miles and miles). Through my training sessions, I've built a stronger core, I feel more "stable" and lifting heavy bags etc doesn't feel so daunting, and my back aches seem to have disappeared! Over time, I've also learnt alot about proper body movement and technique, how to use kettlebells, and bands during workouts, and I'm now not terrified of barbells like I was when I first started! I've also learnt to eat better (it's not just about eating less!) - what it means to have a healthy meal while still feeling satisfied.
